Also not something you'd readily notice on a drive from one city to another, unless there's a billboard for a gun show or something.

I've always wondered what foreign tourists must make of this place. (LVB north of Sahara, where it starts to get seedy, and where it technically isn't the Strip anymore)
I believe I've seen some of those outside of Walt Disney World. Not at Walt Disney World, of course.

On another topic, I want to remind the rest of you about an important fact --- AI is bullshit.

Both last year and this year I took a series of photos of the Altamonte Springs SunRail station, along with other stations on both trips. I decided to check some of them out on my cell phone. I examined one in the vicinity of the northernmost pedestrian crossing, and put it in Google's AI Mode. It misidentifies the station as the Jessup MARC station in Maryland. I took another pic across the tracks, where the Lynx 426 bus was stopping on the busway and put that in Google AI mode, and it misidentified that one as being at Lake Mary SunRail station, which is two stations north. I took pictures of Lake Mary station on one of these runs too, including the busway there. But there were no buses at the time.

My wife often is oblivious to how much time it takes to do things and often tells me she wants to go do something at the last minute.  Sometimes this really frustrates me, today's scenario is a good example.

For background, I write my own schedule and have very flexible work hours.  That being the case I'm working a Tuesday-Saturday work week because I took my mother in law to a neurologist appointment this past Monday.

Apparently there is a fall carnival going on in Firebaugh tonight (where my wife is from).  My wife has said nothing about going to said carnival until just a couple minutes ago via text message.  There are some logistical issues I have with this.

For one, at any point during the week my wife could have told me she wanted to go to the carnival.  If I had advanced knowledge I could have packed a change of clothes and left from the office.  My office is one hour from Firebaugh.

As it stands now it seems I have a 35-40 minute drive to backtrack home to Fresno after work (which ends at 3:30 PM).  From Fresno it is a 55 minute drive to Firebaugh.  My wife could have just left with my niece and met me at the carnival.  I'm gathering the plan is to consolidate into one vehicle.

Now at minimum in the best case scenario we are arriving at the carnival at 4:30 PM (more likely 5-5:30 PM).  I had planned to wash clothes tonight because we are invited to my wife's cousin's homecoming party (military leave) all day tomorrow. The party is not optional since the cousin is bringing her fiancĂ©.

Now I have to scramble to figure out how I'm going to get my clothes washed and sorted.  My wife isn't at home at the moment (having lunch with her dad) so having her start the wash isn't an option.  Again if I had advanced knowledge I could have started the wash last night or when I got up at 5:30 AM.

I'm sure that I'll be offered free food or drink when I get home.  All I told my wife for now is that I need to think about the carnival.  In particular I feel like this happens mostly when I work a random Saturday (IMO exemplifies the definition of bothersome things which are minor).  I'm thinking that I probably should just stop doing that and take vacation for things like this past Monday.

Worth noting, I was under the impression my wife wanted to rent a movie tonight.  We had talked about doing so yesterday afternoon.

The amusing thing is I know exactly how Jessica could (can?) easily make a convincing argument for the carnival.  All she really would have to say is our niece is the one who wants to go.  I really don't have a good counter argument for that.
