Every week Cleveland proves themselves fools for letting Baker Mayfield go
From the land of red, white, yellow and black.

The way I remembered it is that Baker wanted out of Cleveland; he is the one that demanded the trade.

Quick reminder than the Browns are paying 31.5 million dollars this year to a pervert who sucks at football.

I recently saw a stat which said that as of this season (so far), Cleveland is paying all, or part of, the salaries of EIGHT Quarterbacks, including those who since went to other teams (due to original signed contracts).

Because they traded for Deshaun Watson and gave him a ridiculous contract. Mayfield saw the writing on the wall.

Mayfield was one season removed from the Browns first playoff season in quite a while, which included an upset playoff win at Pittsburgh, and only lost at KC by five in the division round. The next season, he tried to play through injuries and took a step back.

The Browns should have stuck with him. Just a terrible organization making another terrible decision.

I know it's early, but here are my predictions of teams who are most likely to watch the playoffs this season:
  • New York Jets and every last place team in each division
  • Baltimore Ravens
  • Dallas Cowboys

With the Falcons win over the Bills, the Patriots are officially first place in the AFC East! Let's go! We are so back.

With the Bears win over the Commanders, the NFC North has every team with a winning record!

The NFC West- can someone please be leading the division? The 49ers, Rams, and the Seahawks are tied for first place, each with a record of 4-2!

For the second year in a row this deep into the season. But this time I'm not counting on it having 3 playoff teams. The NFC is remarkably good again, currently with 10 winning teams, only 4 losing teams, and a 21-12 record vs the AFC which is on pace to break last year's record for the most lopsided interconference record in a season (NFC went 47-33).

My annual 6-week re-rank was more difficult this season than any other I can remember. It's easy to tell who's good and who's bad, but I have no clue how good any of the good teams are. Change from the start of the season in parentheses.

Tier 1: good
1. Chiefs (-) (??? I just don't know who else to put there at this point)
2. Buccaneers (+6)
3. Eagles (-1)
4. Rams (+1)
5. Packers (+1)
6. Lions (+1)
7. Bills (-3)
8. Seahawks (+2)
9. Colts (+9)
10. Commanders (+3)
11. Broncos (-)
12. Chargers (+5)
13. Steelers (+1)
Tier 2: might be good
14. Falcons (+5)
15. 49ers (-3) (the injuries are terrible)
16. Jaguars (+6)
17. Patriots (+8)
18. Vikings (-2)
19. Bears (+4)
20. Texans (-11)
Tier 3: bad
21. Panthers (+9)
22. Cowboys (-2)
23. Giants (+8)
24. Cardinals (-3)
25. Ravens (-22)
26. Bengals (-11)
27. Raiders (-)
28. Browns (-2)
29. Dolphins (-5)
30. Saints (+2)
31. Titans (-2)
32. Jets (-4)

At this point any of the 13 teams in tier 1 are very liable to beat or lose to anyone else in tier 1, and even tier 2 as well. Every tier 3 team might as well fast forward to the draft (again, in most cases - it's the usual suspects down there).

Entertaining season so far. Very different from last year, when there were a handful of dominant teams and not much of a middle class. I think the middle class this year is large with a lot of actually good teams.

The 49ers lead the division with a 3-0 division record, followed by the Seahawks with a 1-1 division record, and the Rams at 0-1 division record.

As of today the Texans have given up an NFL-low 61 combined points in all their games so far this season, which I believe is 36 points less than the second lowest in that department (Vikings have given up 97 points so far).

Illinois: counties 100%, highways 61%
Michigan: counties 100%, highways 56%
Wisconsin: counties 86%, highways 23%

The last one came on a 3rd and 1 with about 3 minutes left. The game isn't over if Washington converts it, but it would have put the Bears in a spot with no margin for error.

Any game the Bears win is a great day/night for me! Especially when it ends in a walkoff score, like it did last night.
Go Cubs Go! Go Cubs Go! Hey Chicago, what do you say? The Cubs are gonna win today!
