Because everyone would either complain that they're all in Madison and Milwaukee, or that they aren't.

Because Wisconsin is a very polarized state politically. Because single digit numbers are important, depending on what region they are there would be way too much tension and would cause issues, so might as well not include any.

They all got married, moved to the suburbs, put up a white picket fence, got a dog and had 2.3 child routes.

It's symbolic of the fact that the Packers' offense is way too potent to settle for single digit final scores.  Go Pack Go!

Most signals work 24 hour days, 7 days per week. Standing up they'd be entitled to regularly scheduled paid breaks, so the states allow them to lay down on the job to avoid paying for idle time. Not to mention, they don't want the signals to pass out during peak hours, need to make sure they have adequate rest.

Quote from: I-55 on April 13, 2025, 09:39:41 PMThe correct question is "if ARDOT hasn't signed it, why does Google show it?" and the answer as usual is "because Google Maps signs stuff incorrectly all the time"

Those aren't actually state routes.  Their numbers were just placeholders while MDOT was building the database, but they forgot to delete that column of the spreadsheet before migrating the data over from Excel.

Because Illinois does.  Wisconsin has a noticeable inferiority complex w/r/t Illinois.
