What a game! Congrats to the Dodgers, has to be one of the greatest games I've ever seen.
My username has been outdated since August 2023 but I'm too lazy to change it

The LA Dodgers WINS another world series against CANADA (or the Toronto Blue Jays)!
It was a great series between these two teams.

Now you got me missing the era of the Red Wings buying and/or trading for the best free agents almost every year.  Mike Ilitch sure loved to dump truck loads of money into his teams.

Then why doesn't a team from Texas, Washington, Tennessee, or Florida win every year? They all don't have income tax.

Probably worth mentioning that the Panthers were pretty much consistent basement dwellers in the NHL until recently.

Toronto's Game 7 collapse was punctuated by a trio of solo home runs that exposed the limits of their bullpen strategy. Determined to avoid walks, Blue Jays relievers challenged hitters with pitches in the zone -- especially with no runners aboard. This cautious approach backfired when Miguel Rojas, a light-hitting infielder, timed a fastball perfectly in the ninth to tie the game.

Two innings later, Will Smith punished a slider from Shane Bieber, a starter pressed into relief duty, to give the Dodgers the lead. Earlier, Bo Bichette's three-run blast had given Toronto hope, but the inability to suppress solo shots proved fatal.

The Jays' reluctance to pitch around batters, combined with fatigue and predictable pitch sequencing, turned what should have been low-risk situations into game-changing moments. In a World Series finale where every pitch carried legacy weight, Toronto's margin for error vanished with each swing -- and the Dodgers capitalized.

The Jays were up 4-2 with 5 outs remaining, and 4-3 with 2 outs remaining.

What a shame. I have disliked the LA Dodgers ever since I was a 1960s Yankees fan.

Well, if nothing else, pitchers and catchers report in just over four months.
