Quote from: Max Rockatansky on February 15, 2026, 05:45:38 PMThat finish got wild with the two large wrecks on the final laps of the Daytona 500.  Reddick is probably one of the few cars I don't recall being caught up in a wreck.

MJ getting a trophy after winning the lawsuit is my favorite part of Reddick winning.

This could be a big year for that team.

I'm hoping it is.  I find them hard to root against after the lawsuit and exposing all that NASCAR dirty laundry.  To that end as a Pistons fan it does feel weird to be pulling for Michael Jordan.
Well, after that 3-peat, it already is.
Go Cubs Go! Go Cubs Go! Hey Chicago, what do you say? The Cubs are gonna win today!

Repeat...

Three-peat.

I've despised Michael Jordan since he was a college player at North Carolina.

I can't remember what made me despise Denny Hamlin, but something beyond the fact that he drives for the former coach of the Washington Redskins really made me dislike him. My passive "I don't like him because he drives for Joe Gibbs Racing" has turned into an active "I can't stand him."

The fact that the driver they employ has won three races in a row is a disgusting development.

Tyler Reddick has never struck me as an unlikable driver.  RCR never gave him a competitive enough Cup car.

Part of the problem is that Kyle Busch also got old.  He hasn't looked quite right since his last year with Gibbs.  He's past 700 career starts which is well past the point most drivers start becoming less and less competitive.

It's still pretty early in the season, but 23XI may be supplanting JGR as the top Toyota team. We've had JGR, Penske and Hendrick as the top teams of their respective manufacturers for quite a while now.

I'm kind of surprised nobody had anything to say about Ty Gibbs getting his first career Cup win at Bristol yesterday.  Certainly earned it with having to hold of Ryan Blaney on four fresh tires.

Didn't really care which nepo-grandchild won that one.

Am I missing something with Ty Gibbs?  Sure seems like most people don't like him by default just because he's the owner's grandson.  I would have figured some of you would have liked him better after those incursions with Denny Hamlin.

I've always been ambivalent about him as a driver, but as a rule I never root for JGR drivers to win unless it's against Penske cheaters drivers.

What, exactly, are they trying to "fix" with the stage length changes for Talladega?

By making those stages shorter than the fuel window, no gas stops will be needed and therefore the strategy of not running wide open to stretch fuel that has been prevalent recently will go away.

Carson Hocevar winning at Talladega today made that race slightly less of a joke

How long before NASCAR is back on broadcast TV so I can watch it again?

I'm not a member of Amazon Prime.

What a drive by Corey Heim today.  He probably had the least damaged car on the track at the of the race.  I'm really liking the NAS North Island track.  The entire race weekend has been pretty action packed.  There is plenty of tire fall off and passing room to make things interesting.

Saw his interview. He made a good point that since this is a brand new course, he wasn't at his usual disadvantage against the experienced drivers.

Bubba has to be pleased to get 2nd on a street course. Not typically his strong suit.

My biggest takeaway from the weekend, aside from the significance of it being held on active military property, is the Gragson/Magnussen beef.
