Well, we are now just a little over a week away from our gathering in Wichita.  One last reminder... if you are planning on attending, please let me know as soon as possible so I can have a final count for our dinner reservation.  Thanks!

I'll be in town.

Lunch is probably too early for me to make it (bi-weekly grocery shopping day), but I should be able to make it to supper.

Update on my availability. I'm fine, recovering from my recent adventures in the American medical system. However, I'm not confident that I will be able to drive that distance comfortably a week from now, so I'll have to officially pass on the opportunity. I'm sorry, because I haven't had a meeting within a day's drive of me for a while.

I was really looking forward to meeting you all, but I've had something else come up next weekend and will unfortunately have to pass as well. Hope everyone has a great time!

Awesome!  It will be nice to meet you and have you join for lunch.  We will likely gather near (or possibly outside) the entrance to Meddys around, or shortly before, 11 a.m.  I'll try to remember to bring my road meet lanyard and wear it so that you can recognize me.  In case it helps, one of the people attending the gathering looks like Santa Claus.  His name is Brian and he proudly owns his Santa Claus likeness.  :)

No worries... thank you for letting me know.  I'm glad you're doing fine, though... and I hope your recovery is going smoothly enough.

Got to Kansas City...hunkering down under a tornado watch.  Schools and some businesses closed, so I suppose it's serious.

I left work shortly after 2pm, because the weather in the north suburbs was getting pretty gnarly.  The field supervisor had just gotten back to the office and said:  "Valley Center is getting hammered.  I just got back from there, and it's definitely bigger than quarter-sized."

I drove through rain on the way home, but that's all.  Just a drizzle right now at our house in southeast Wichita.

Well, hopefully everyone's windshield is still intact.  We never got more than showers at our house.

We're making naan pizzas and salad to eat while we watch The Count of Monte Cristo.  See y'all tomorrow evening for some barbecue.

I hope you all managed to escape hail damage to your vehicles.

Today I tried to mow the lawn before the thunderstorm arrived, and finished the front, sides, and one-third of the back before hail started falling.  I now have a bandaid in the middle of my forehead as a result of running into the still-opening garage door trying to get the mower under cover.

Hailstones here (near 13th and West) were mostly pea-sized but a fair few were dime- and nickel-sized.

I'm still planning to appear for both lunch and dinner tomorrow.

Some last-minute assignments came up for me, so I likely will not be able to make it tomorrow (graduating in 2 weeks, so I want to make sure all that gets done). Have fun out there tomorrow!
