That's a surprising one to me.  Not only have I driven on I-35W (TX) multiple times, but I've clinched it every time except once.

The one time I didn't clinch it was when I detoured due to an overturned truck on the highway.  It's also the last time I ever drove it, as I swore off driving through Dallas–Fort Worth that day.  Since then, I've only driven through it on one round-trip, and another vehicle made contact with mine at highway speed on I-35E.

I've never spent time in the metroplex, it was just driving or flying through. I've taken I-20 and I-30 straight through and I've done I-35E to either I-20 or I-45, but just never had the reason to do a north to south movement (or a north to west movement), otherwise I would have taken it.

For 2dis only, it'd be I-44 for the closest that I ain't been on.

Now I'm fairly certain it's I-575 in Georgia. That may have been closer to begin with, but it doesn't really matter anymore seeing as I've clinched I-169 now anyways.
May or may not be batticorn.

I also collect traffic lights, road signs, fans, and railroad crossing equipment.

Last December I drove a segment of I-16, so my new answer:

2di:  I-72 (Illinois), ~710 miles

For me I think the routes closest to me that I've never been on any part of are

Interstate 27 and Interstate 44
I love freeways and roads in any state but Texas will always be first in my heart

Buster Cannon

This is tricky; at minimum, I've at least been on small segments of Interstates fanning several states outwards of the DC area. Closest one (mileage-wise) is I-84 in PA/NY.

Wow a tough travel question. (clinched route in bold)
I have driven at least a mile on:
4, 5, 10, 11, 15, 16, 17, 20, 22, 24, 25, 26, 27, 29, 30, 35, 39, 40, 41, 43, 44, 45, 49 (technically before it was 49 in MO), 55, 57, 59, 64, 65, 66, 69, 70, 71, 72, 73, 74 West, 74 East, 75, 76 West, 76 East, 77, 78, 79, 80, 81, 84 East, 85, 86 East, 87 North, 88 West, 88 East, 89, 90, 91, 93, 94, 95, 96, 99

Never touched:
2, 8, 12, 14, 19, 37, 42, 68, 82, 83, 84 West, 86 West, 87 South, 97

So I guess the closest would be I-68.
I knew it. I'm surrounded by assholes. Keep firing, assholes! - Dark Helmet (Spaceballs)

Beltway

The closest to me (central Virginia)?

Probably would have to go as far as I-93 or I-59 or I-22.

Closest 3di: I-115. I've been to Butte, but never took the spur into downtown.

Closest 2di: I-27. Again, a close one -- I've twice driven I-40 through the interchange with I-27. I even have a photo of the signage there:

I-27 is the one for me. I have driven to both Amarillo and Lubbock, but each instance was driving east-west and never betwixt the two.

I think I have driven pre-existing predecessors of I-14 and I-69 in small parts. The same is true for present-day I-22, which I took on a road trip to Orlando in the 1990s as US 78.

Since it's been a few years for me too:
2di: I-90 (about 170 miles)
3di: I-705, WA (about 140 miles)

Thing 342

Recently drove a bit of I-89 and I-91, so new answers:

2-digit: I-96
3-digit: I-176 (PA)

Hobart

Interstate 229 in Sioux Falls is the closest Interstate I do not remember being on.

I recently moved to Saint Paul and have unfortunately gotten very familiar with every Interstate highway in the state.
I think this is needed.

3di: I-395 (MA/CT) (I have been on 290 though) or I-291 (CT)
Yes, I have been on portions of all of the major interstates in RI, MA, and CT (84 and 91 were CT only)
Update:
2di would now be I-88 NY
3di is still the same but also I-384 because I forgot about it (and yes I still consider I-395 and I-290 the same highway)
