Diagonal span wire with two all-direction thru fixtures and a left turn fixture between them.  This used to be a fairly common setup in the metro Detroit area but this is the only one I've seen still existing.

I expected it to be a relic from some previous configuration.  But no, it was added.  Cray-cray!

Revisiting this one because I just now noticed that the unnecessary green arrow is preceded by this equally unnecessary matching assembly:

That one doesn't strike me as weird, just because I'm used to seeing that sort of thing in Mexico.

But all of this shows that they really want traffic to not make the mistake of either veering left of the median.  Well, if that's the case, then just put up flashing yellow beacons next to the overhead Keep Right sign—not a green arrow.

Why not just make the yellow traffic delineator cones start earlier instead of at the gore? Seems like a less expensive and less complicated solution.
