My next 3 annual "city meets" (2027-29) - please vote in the poll!

Hi, everyone!  I have now hosted six "city meets" since 2019 and have reached the end of another 3-year cycle.  The cycle that just ended consisted of my meets in Charlotte NC, Mobile AL, and Wichita KS... and members of the forum may recall voting for their top one or two of those cities back in 2023 which resulted in that exact sequence of cities for 2024-26.

Well, now is the time for me to begin the next 3-year cycle... for the meets I will host annually between 2027 and 2029.  As always, these are cities that I've never had the opportunity to visit/explore before, and I would like to continue inviting others to join me in my exploration of them.  This poll lists the cities I plan to host gatherings in between 2027 and 2029.  Whichever city wins this poll will be the location of my 2027 meet, and the other two cities will be the locations for 2028 and 2029 (the poll results will determine the exact order).

This poll will remain open until July 15, 2026, and you can vote for up to two of these cities.  I look forward to seeing the votes come in.  :spin:  Happy June!  Happy summer!!

I would definitely consider seeing Jacksonville, FL since I have never been there and the last time I was in Florida in general was June 1989, El Paso Stephanie and I have passed through and spent the night in a couple times over the years since it tied in with our cross country trips, as for Long Beach, never been there and would love to check it out but doubt we will make that one

Will the El Paso meet be at Rosa's Cantina?  If so - be careful who you dance with especially Felina.  People have been shot over her.

I have been to all three, but voted for the one I have seen the least of.
That said, timing is key. If Long Beach happened to be in 2027 a week or two before our annual conference is held in Reno........

I'd like a road trip including new roads.  I feel like I've already covered all the routes between home and Jacksonville.

Long Beach is kind of a dud IMO.  I could see basing a meet around the area.  Limiting to just the city isn't going to yield all that much.

But since it's a city meet with no set itinerary other than lunch & dinner, one may go explore the other nearby areas which may be more exciting.

Terminal Island and San Pedro have most of the interesting stuff nearby.  San Pedro in particular has a pretty famous fish market.  Busy Bee Market probably has best sandwiches in California.

Depends on what you mean by "710."  The designation of Interstate 710 is still from I-10 to Ocean Boulevard in Long Beach.  The International Gateway Bridge is technically just part of the southern segment of State Route 710.

As with all my city meets, Long Beach is a city that I've been intrigued by for a while.  I totally get it if some people aren't interested.  As of this writing, it's got 7 votes so far.  :)
