My team has to play against the New Jersey Giants or perhaps call it the E. Rutherford Giants this Fall.

Let's see if the Inglewood Rams have what it takes to knock off the defending champs in the NFC...or at least the NFC West.
Go Cubs Go! Go Cubs Go! Hey Chicago, what do you say? The Cubs are gonna win today!

#53
To respect Jayden Daniels I hope no player has an exactly 5 yard run this year.

Would Puka be the best player to ever hit unrestricted free agency at the moment of doing so?

The NFL just announced that they are eliminating the #5 seed in the playoffs this year because of Jayden Daniels, their will still be 14 teams in the playoffs, just no #5 seed.

Well, the Browns can't live without Deshaun Watson, and Deshaun Watson can't live without the Browns.
From the land of red, white, yellow and black.

Kind of like saying I can't live without the nest of wasps in my yard large enough to be a federally recognized terrorist organization.

Last month our team lost its other co-founder Janice McNair, who expired just short of completing her ninth decade.  I want to thank her and her family for bringing an NFL team back to Houston.

Before the Texans debuted 2002, I had no interest in the NFL because I never had a team to cheer for.  I don't even remember the Oilers since no one ever talked about them....by the time I realized that Houston had the Oilers, they were just about to announce their relocation to Tennessee and become the Titans.

A lot of people demanded this for a long time. I hope they're happy.

I think the initial downslope to this inevitability was moving it to the week before the Super Bowl, which obivoulsy you're going to lose a lot of the best players in the sport from the Pro Bowl doing that.
Let me take you down, cause I'm going to Strawberry Fields

QuoteThe NFL had a Pro Bowl, in some form, every year since 1951.

75 years was a good run. However, as I see it, it has always been the worst of the four all-star games, as I never cared about it at all, going as far as to call it the most meaningless four quarters ever to be played. Even when it was played the week after the Super Bowl, I always skipped it, making the Big Game the last one for the season, but moving it to the week before was the Pro Bowl's death knell.

I never understood the particular hatred people had for the NFL game. The NHL and NBA now both play mini-games and hardly anyone whines that they should be shut down. MLB had the hokey home-field-advantage gimmick tied in, which I don't miss, but I think most agree theirs feels the most like a normal game.

Yeah, I like the MLB All-Star Game, but hated the stupid rule from a decade ago that awarded home-field advantage to the team whose league won it in the World Series. If anything, they should've just given it to the team with the best record, or the one with the better record if the top seed lost earlier in the postseason.

I don't think it's entirely a coincidence that the NFL cancelled the Pro Bowl a day after the report of widespread CTE among former players came out. This, plus the fact that the Pro Bowl has become the least watchable of the big four all star games, made the league's decision easy.
