What additional forum setting should users be able to change?
A button that will show you only those posts that are just someone stating an opinion without justifying it.

What additional forum setting should users be able to change?

There are currently two options for how posts are displayed in a thread:  newest at the top, or oldest at the top.  There should also be a "randomize" option.

There should also be the option to open up your posts to editing by other users.

10/6/2026 - What year will New Hampshire switch to mileage-based exits, and how will they accomplish it?

And since I had an answer prepared yesterday before the question got yanked, here's mine:

Starting next year, after the feds decide that withholding federal highway funding from states still installing signs with sequential exit numbers is a great idea (for predictably political reasons, considering what the sequential states have in common), New Hampshire is forced to begin installing mile-based exit numbers.  In protest, they only do this as signs are replaced.  Spot replace a sign?  It, and only it, gets a mile-based exit number.  Replace the signs for three exits?  Those three exits, and only those three exits, get mile-based exit numbers.  The result is a mis-mash of exit numbers when driving on any interstate in New Hampshire for decades to come.

2034, after a brief but failed experiment with vibes-based exit numbering.

2234. They will breed herds of Coos County Inchworms, lay them all down alongside the highways, count the worms, and divide by 63,360.

Never. Instead they will institute exit-based mileage by redefining a mile as equal to one exit. Mileposts will appear only at the exits.

My answer is similar to Mapmikey's.

Quote from: vdeane on October 06, 2026, 12:34:46 PM10/6/2026 - What year will New Hampshire switch to mileage-based exits ...

By the end of 2026.

Quote from: vdeane on October 06, 2026, 12:34:46 PM... and how will they accomplish it?

Redefining the mile by statute.  The definition will vary by location, with each location having its own sub-section in the statute.

1984. They'll fully change their terminology so as not to use terms like "exit" or "mileage-based." The people will initially find this newspeak confusing, but they'll get used to it and eventually forget there used to be a different way.

They're still waiting for Old Hampshire to do it, and then show them how. So probably never.

Northside Drive, the main road to Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, doesn't have a number, so in honor of the Falcons I'm assigning it 2823.
It carries US 19/29/41 and its associated GA 3.
Oops, that's what I get for checking Google Maps instead of OSM. Pretend I said MLK Drive, which seems to actually be unnumbered.

However long it takes for them to build enough new exits to have one exit per mile of freeway. I imagine it'll be a while, especially for I-89 and I-93 northwest of Concord.

So since we're supposed to give the worst answer, the worst "worst theme" should be the best theme, right?

Answer: no theme at all.
