"Suburbia is where the developer bulldozes out the trees, then names the streets after them."  (Bill Vaughn)

Heh. I remember back in the 1990s when construction signs first went up for the "Maple Trace" neighborhood in Fairfax City. My mother commented, "That's because once they start construction there won't be a trace of a maple left."

Some people might like the idea of using theme song names, but the thought of getting some of those songs stuck in your head every time you see a street name is somewhat disturbing to me.

I've always wondered whether Avenue Road in Toronto is a road named Avenue or whether it is instead an avenue named Road. I suspect it is the former. (And I'm aware of the urban legend that it got its name when the surveyor pointed north and said, "Let's 'ave a new road.")

Maybe you could work in others that share the same abbreviations, like Doctor Drive and Saint Street (and, if this is in Kansas City, Kansas, Louisiana Lane).

Road signs should be bilingual, in both Aramaic and Esperanto.  After all, this is exactly what both languages were invented for.
