Plain, simple and to the point.

How do you get the image to post automatically? The img button created the blank space above the URL.

You have to get a direct link to the image. On flickr, click the arrow (that points toward a line) in the bottom right and select "View all sizes". Once that's loaded, right-click the image and copy it's URL. After that, paste it just like you already were before (between the IMG tags):

By the way, I thought this image was from Canada, considering the Clearview and the lighter-colored pavement, until of course I saw the rest of your comment which indicates otherwise.

Thank you; I'm new to Flickr. But I can assure you that you will see more good relevant photos!

Has any thought ever been given to a thread with a glossary of roadgeek terms like "pull-through"? I know most of us don't mind answering questions if we know the answers, but I think it would help.

I'll do it, if that's okay.

EDIT: I can't anymore.

I'd be willing to assist if you still want to? A glossary of terms is a good idea . . . a sticky idea perhaps?

Bit out of date, but still useful:  the MTR FAQ:

Ah, Marc Fannin.  Now there's someone who could be here who isn't here (that I know of).
