This photo of I-129 in Iowa (I think the state name is on the I-129 shield) was taken by Neil Brantley.

End of County 132 on Hawaii's Big Island -- county route shields are identical to state shields (they both used to be in one system), and besides the original post allowed county route markers.

BTW, Alaska has no numbered borough/municipality route markers, so it's still out of play as we progress through the three-digit route numbers.

Plus, I'm not finding any evidence of an NC 121, either living or dead, so until NCDOT decides to commission one of its own, a diamond 121 should be able to be identified.
NC 121 runs through Farmville NC from US 264 through town past US 264 to NC 43.

I think 143 may be our only Arizona choice left ...

(I was as surprised as anyone else that there is a 143 in Arizona, as it does not much work in their grid - I was even more surprised to find that I have an example of such a shield!)

Remaining states for Round 2:

AK KY LA ND OK SC WV

Besides, AK are we out of options for ND or WV too?

KY and LA should have all numbers available (as well as US 150 for KY)

OK is good except for 148 and 149

SC has 145, 146 and 150

Can anyone help correct this list?

WV has only US150 available...however, KY has only US150 available as well (so one of those two states is screwed). ND has nothing (it had nothing for this whole round). LA has everything.

This is cu2010, reminding you, help control the ugly sign population, don't have your shields spayed or neutered.

agentsteel53

North Dakota has 127.  We missed it.  There may also be county roads available for ND, as I know they use the pentagon regularly.

Actually, WV's 150 is a state route and it's known as the Highland Scenic Highway with its own special logo sign, so I can post that one when the time comes.

KY has all the other routes available but I'm not sure if there will be any specific identifiers available since we have the boring circle or ellipse or oval.
Government would be tolerable if not for politicians and bureaucrats.

I'm going to post this for 144 and trust that the identifier, US 60, will be OK since US 60 does not run through any states besides Kentucky that use a circle (thank you, Oklahoma, for going with the meat cleavers).

can someone find us a real OK 144?  (a photo has gotta be out there somewhere)  I don't think anyone but HB Elkins knows if 144 and 60 intersect in Kentucky!  :-D
