The strange part is I like the Philly teams but I like the city of Pittsburgh better.  Now, if someone could move the Phillies, Eagles, Flyers, and Sixers to Pittsburgh.  I'd be happy!  :sombrero:

HELL NO! :ded: :banghead:
Please, don't sue Alex & Andy over what I wrote above

We'll take the Phillies since who knows when we'll see another World Series title.

Again, the hell you will.

Personally I could care less, since I have no interest in baseball.

If I lived in Pittsburgh, I probably wouldn't care about baseball either.  :-P

There are still people who go to the games and follow baseball, so they'd take the Phillies to get their money's worth.

They'll have to travel east a bit (or wait for road trips); it would appear this city intends to keep the team.  They're now taking deposits for 2012 season tickets - 2011's sold out (you can still get individual games, but the days are past when you could say to yourself, hmm, nice weather for a ballgame, hop on the subway and get a $5 seat) and Phillies fans have taken to annoying Washingtonians by filling Nationals Park when they're down there.

I love it.  My infrequent games (don't have lots of money myself) actually feel like an investment that's paying off, in simple enjoyment.  [He said sappily!]

Are they also annoying Mets fans up in Queens?

That's fine.  I'm sure there are people who go to PNC Park to see the opposing teams.

Presumably.  What really got to Washingtonians was the year the opener was there and the Nats' owner, on a Philadelphia radio station, invited Philadelphians to "come on down - plenty of seats!"

That kind of thing happened to the then "Tennessee Oilers" (now Titans) the year they played in Memphis.

When the Oilers hosted the Steelers, there were more Steelers fans in the stands as people who couldn't get tickets up there came to Bluff City.

The fun begins in Dallas on Sunday night, February 6, when the Steelers and Packers kick off the biggest championship game in American professional sports.

That being said, who do you want to win? Being a Bears fan, I'm going with Pittsburgh.
Go Cubs Go! Go Cubs Go! Hey Chicago, what do you say? The Cubs are gonna win today!

I said this in the other thread as well.

I've been a Steeler hater from way back.  Plus, my mother's side of the family is from Milwaukee, WI area.

Therefore,

Go Packers!

This broke yesterday,

Titans, Fisher Unable To Work Through Differences

Fisher had been the coach of the Tennessee Oilers/Titans ever since they moved to this state.

kurumi

In favor of Packers:
- more friends from area
- funny "SBC Packers" animation
- small-city franchise that hasn't packed up and moved away
- Aaron Rogers is a Cal alum
- accent is more pleasant to the ear

In favor of Steelers:
- they muzzled the Jets
- Hines Ward is part Korean which is cool
- Heinz Ketchup > Hunt's Catsup
- Monroeville mall was setting of "Dawn of the Dead"

Edge: Packers

I hope every player on both teams gets injured at kickoff, cancelling the rest of the game

I dislike both teams. But if you put a gun to my head and tell me to pick a team, I'd say the Packers, only because as a Cowboys fan, I don't want Pittsburgh winning a seventh Super Bowl in Cowboys Stadium. Plus, my girlfriend-to-be is from Wisconsin so I might as well get in good with her.

Go Pack Go! The only thing sweeter than beating the Bears for the NFC Championship would be to win the Super Bowl. The Steelers are probably my secind favorite team, but there's no question who I'm rooting for. Been a Packer fan my whole life, even B.F. (Before Favre) back in the '80's. Nothing's sweeter than wathing my team in the Super Bowl. Packers 21, Steelers 10. Go Pack Go!

Who needs cheerleaders besides virgin men who can't get any? :P

Pittsburgh has a good team and I'd rather see them over New England*, but since this guy's from WI, its Packers all the way.

The Steelers did have a squad back in the 60s called the Steelerettes.

The Packers have cheerleaders at their home games, but won't be bringing them along to the Super Bowl. But unlike most other teams that use professional dancers as cheerleaders, the Packers use real cheerleaders taken from the local squads at UW-Green Bay and St. Norbert College.
