Hello From Pittsburgh

Greetings everyone. I've been enamored with roads ever since I was a toddler, basically learning how to read by reading the signs on the road. At five I was able to successfully direct a woman to get from Pittsburgh to Boston. I used to write and draw maps for fun and my parents would get me an atlas for my birthday every year.

I'm now a senior in high school and am looking into pursuing a career in either civil engineering or graphic design. I am still fascinated with road projects, specifically ones in and near Pittsburgh. I've been reading these forums for a little over two years now to see the conduct of people on this site and how to interact. I am glad there is such a great resourceful forum like this out on the web.

Unlike some of the other recent Pittsburgh additions, you are not allowed to suddenly go silent after 3 days! ;)

As long as school is steady I'll try to stay active!

Welcome fellow Pittsburgher! Yes, I'm new too, I'm TRYING to not go silent after three days but sometimes I get a little busy. Hopefully you find the forum welcoming like I have!

Also, if you ever want to pick someone's brain about graphic design, I am a graphic designer and would happy to chat if you have any questions! Civil engineering is awesome as well ;)

Aha! That accounts for one of the two or three Pittsburghers at whom I directed that comment. ;)

Civil engineering is awesome. Did you mean that as a conversation topic, or just... civil engineering is awesome. Civil engineers are awesome, BTW.
