That's worst. Who would blur a sign like that? (And who would use the Goog to find that sign when it's all over the internet?)

In before anal criticism.

Look at the various left arrows.  And the slanted sign post.  And the slightly twisted 'To' plate.  And the sideways traffic signal.  And the palm trees.  And the Burger King in the background.

Worst Boring Sign Pic ever.

But that's a pretty boring Burger King. If there were a Boring Burger King Pics thread, this would be in it.

In NE2's photo, how is "Garcon" pronounced? Normally I would expect to see that little accent mark under the "c" in that word.

QuoteIn the late 1980s Garcon (pronounced GAR-sohn) Point was an isolated, rural area, as was the stretch of peninsula across the bay from it.

Generally speaking, it's acceptable to leave accents off of capital letters.

Maybe boring, but the scattered posts are a good one for the "signage pet peeve" thread--if you're going to have multiple posts all referring to routes in the same intersection, f-ing put them arranged together!  Don't be scattering them all around like that.  And if any of them are leaning, it makes it look even worse.....

And Zeffy is right, the first thing I thought of with those US 98 shields was the current shape of the US shields on Google maps--looks like a sitting fat a$$.

I don't think the cedille qualifies as an accent.

I think I'm probably used to seeing it because the Redskins' receiver with that last name uses that symbol on the back of his jersey (GARÇON).

Unfortunately, when I passed through in July 2013, the I-10 was the only one standing. There were skidmarks leading up to the former location of the others. The US 98's are misshapen and look bad, BTW. At least the FL TOLL sign has the proper black state outline, unlike many in Orange County.

The flags should be florescent orange. Yellow? Seriously? They probably just used two 18x18 hazard markers that were handy. The two signs should be one size larger to make sure they're legible, especially since they warn of a new hazardous situation, and do not contain a commonly-seen message.

I don't like the look of the ones with the orange state outline.
Logic would dicatate that the state specs require black, right?
My understanding from y'all in FL is that the Orange Co toll road authority took it upon themselves to make the outline orange on the signs they post.

NE2

The Turnpike authority has some red/orange ones too. Yawn.

I always assumed the red FL outline on the toll shields was to make an additional cautionary visual cue that it's a toll road.
