Posted several damaged or missing signs in recent site updates in South Florida showing what Hurricane Wilma did in October 2005. A few:

I-595 approaching US 1.

I-595 east at US 1.

I-95 north at I-195/Florida 112

I-95 south at Florida 842

Ah yes, I remember those missing signs all over the place.  The signs that all but disappeared quickly in Hurricane Wilma were the "Old Exit xx" signage after conversion from consecutive to mileage-based exit numbers, tacked onto the tops or sides of BGS on Interstate 95.

Alum Creek Dr NB at I-270, Columbus.

This one has been standing like this for at least a year. It's anybody's guess as to how long before it's replaced.

What's interesting is how the original non-reflective background is revealed, complete with the uneven fading from the original foreground elements, which were in slightly different positions.  And the old I-270 shield was smaller.
Wait, it's all Ohio? Always has been.

Wasn't sure if this should go in Damaged or Vandalized, so I'm putting it in both.

This is a KY 37 marker in the Forkland community of Boyle County.

I saw this along I-459 in Hoover a while back:

It's all fun & games until someone summons Cthulhu and brings about the end of the world.

I also collect traffic lights, road signs, fans, and railroad crossing equipment.

This non-reflective button copy goodie lying by the side of NJ-495.

It used to be on this pole.

I only take pics of good looking signs. Long live non-reflective button copy!

I think this falls into vandalized signs. A shame an old button copy sign looks like this.  :-(

These guys are a bit bent. Not sure what caused it (maybe wind?) Note the round edges on these signs. Saskatchewan is the only Canadian province to do this I believe.

EDIT: Found another set of signs damaged; even worse than the ones above.

Yes, but taken in January 2010, so it has probably been fixed since then.

I noticed that I-10 has a left exit, yet I also see a trailblazer pointing one TO EAST I-10 along Claiborne Ave.  Is it for those entering the ramp seen in the lower right in the photo?

I'm thinking it is, so they could know there is another entrance to the freeway. I think they did this possibility to relieve a bit of traffic.

Those first two aren't damaged, they're just suffering from sine rot.

Simple answer:  Yes

I am not sure how this works now, but when I lived there almost 30 years ago, when you exited off bus 90 to get to I 10 east, you were supposed to go down Claiborne until the I-10 east on ramp.  That is why that trailblazer is there.   But many people would just cut over all the lanes and enter I-10 there instead.  That ramp is intended only for traffic that was already on Claiborne.

Looks like rust, and maybe other things have damaged this sign. Should be replaced.
NOT my pic. Off of Wikipedia.
