I figured to create a catch-all for my Flickr photos I have taken. I'm not a great photographer but I'm going to pick out some of what I think are really good photos I have taken.

Wow, that billboard on the right. Atheists however get told "fuck off" when we try and speak up about it on billboards. Fucking love double standards...

Anyway... some of these are pretty good, but the quality can be rather bad on some of them as well. A huge tip is not to over-do the digital zoom on your phone (I go to like 25% maximum) otherwise the quality takes a shit, and real fast.

I can't agree with you more on the billboard part. It's so true.

About the zooming. I actually don't do zooming much on my phone. The quality does get very bad very quickily the few times I do zoom. It doesn't help the camera on my phone is only 5.0 megapixels. The one still camera I have doesn't have any cords I can use to port it's photos over to my computer so I can upload it to Flickr. A lot of the photos are hard to get a good angle on such as this one-
If I try to get a better angle usually the car's interior gets in the way. I've also noticed the lighting on my photos seem to crap out sometimes. Perhaps this is what you notice as bad quality? My phone's camera software is pretty simple and can't seem to change lighting. Since I used Android it is possible I can get a 3rd party camera app to fix this problem.

Hmm, I have an iPhone 6 (which has I think like an 8 MP camera?) and don't know anything about Android. Lightning can be an issue though; I experienced that problem when I tried to take photos of signs and stuff at night in Maryland. Most of them are pure and utter shit, only a few came out good, and that was because I adjusted the lightning (on iPhone you just tap the spot where you want to the lighting to correct) so the signs were (mostly) readable.

But I don't know crap about taking pictures; Alex would know more than me.  :)

I've noticed that lighting feature on iPhones. It works to a degree. However I don't have my iPhone anymore so I'll have to give the Google Camera App that I installed a try.

What double standard? What kind of billboard could an atheist put up about what happens if you die tonight?

Digital zoom on an iPhone? My personal phone is an iPhone 4S and my work phone is a 5C. Neither offer digital zoom. Which is why I don't consider phone cameras to be "real" cameras.

Are you running a recent version of iOS? My old iPhone 4S runs iOS 8 and has digital zoom. You just have to pinch to zoom in and out. No scrolling bar.

FWIW, digital zoom is horse shit. You can take any photo without a zoom and just zoom and crop it later for the same effect.

When I was using an iPhone 4S I do clearly remember it had pinch to zoom. It also has different photo modes and I remember Chrome working really well for lighting

I won't be uploading any new Flickr photos for a while because I won't be taking any new roadtrips until next August 8th. When I do take the next roadtrip it will be to Bloomington, IN so I'll be able to get pics of the I-69 construction. :D

Who knew? I remember an old version had a scroll bar to use for zooming. Apparently it got replaced by pinch-and-spread in subsequent versions and nothing was ever publicized about it.

And while zooming and cropping on the computer works well for those purposes, if you're posting directly from your phone to Twitter or somewhere else, the zoom could have some beneficial use. But I still prefer using a real camera with an optical zoom.

US 101 is THE backbone of the Pacific coast from Bandon OR to Willits CA.  Industry, tourism and local traffic would be gone or severely crippled without it being in functioning condition in BOTH states.
