I think NC just has 6 on the interstates.  US 421 and 321 have at least 2.  US 221 has only 1 if I remember right, and NC 226 definitely has 1.

I have the 6 interstate ramps and 1 on US 321. If you could point me in the direction of the others, I will appreciate it.

Only one I've seen around here is on Alt. US 27 NB approaching Warm Springs, GA near FDR State Park.

Cops love it there.  The limit goes down to 35 towards the end of the long downward incline.  They pick speeders off there like fish in a barrel.

For Washington...make that two. There may be others I'm forgetting but I know of:

WA-504 (Spirit Lake Hwy), westbound, heading down from Mt. St. Helens:
https://www.google.com/maps/@46.311274,-122.3733336,3a,75y,270.27h,96.65t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1sWc4wtKdVrQnxwpDPsXRNww!2e0!7i3328!8i1664?hl=en

WA-221 northbound on the way into Prosser:
https://www.google.com/maps/@46.2072844,-119.7413611,3a,75y,284.78h,84.89t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1szew9nV76NxtQH3r_K6T4ug!2e0!7i13312!8i6656?hl=en

Washington state had me scratching my head. With the mountains in the state, I thought there were more than the one I had (Prosser). Thanks for MSH!

US 12 westbound down from White Pass.
https://www.google.com/maps/@46.6819797,-121.5434818,3a,90y,312.03h,71.7t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1s2HBIRitMLdxSzeK5yu1ZaQ!2e0!7i13312!8i6656!6m1!1e1
Thank you.

US 2 approaching Orondo https://www.google.com/maps/place/Orondo,+WA/@47.6266687,-120.2144509,127m/data=!3m1!1e3!4m2!3m1!1s0x549bb99df92f9651:0xd1afe1a422570d75

US 12 down the east side of the Palouse
https://www.google.com/maps/@46.4347281,-117.3425154,3a,75y,106.26h,75.63t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1sLuU9Y-ahn1PNBT3-HQIaHQ!2e0!7i3328!8i1664

I found these by mining the State Highway Log; according to that, this should be all 5.

When I started this, Washington DOT linked me to a report that would have taken me a year to go over. I found Prosser that way. Your help was great.

US 322 has ramps near Lewistown. I'm pretty sure this is on the two lane segment near US 11 - if not, then probably in the Lewistown Narrows.

Is this the same one just east of State College? If so, I know that real well. I have gone by it numerous times.

Thought I would post this picture of one of the truck ramps on US 52 near Fancy Gap. This was taken in 2007.

Can't tell what you're looking at, to be honest. Is this an abandoned truck ramp, because there's certainly no signage.

It's definitely an abandoned ramp. Sand pile gives it away.

Yes. My memory of those truck ramps from my family vacation that used that section of US 52 were that they were basically sand piles. They were unlike any truck ramps I'd ever seen. When I drove that route in 2007, I was on the lookout for the truck ramps. There was no signage, but the vestiges of the ramps were very easily spotted. The picture probably doesn't do the scene justice.

It's not a new one, but the project to replace and upgrade the NV 431 Incline Village ramp, formerly a gravel arrestor, has been completed.  Now there's an asphalt strip lined with concrete walls with a series of high-tension "nets" to catch the truck.

Maryland doesn't have the most, but there are a number of them along I-68 in Allegany and Garrett counties in the western mountains. Also in West Virginia between the Maryland border and I-68's western end at I-79 at Morgantown.

FIBistan..er..Illinois has at least one, believe it or not.

^ I suppose either the guardrail, the pole, the building, or the RR track mound will stop a runaway truck if a car isn't in the way.

Really, Chester IL?

So, a truck makes a 90 degree turn.  Quickly manages to become a runaway truck after traveling 150 feet.  Runs down a paved curve, thru a stop sign, into a building that appears to house a lot of electrical wiring for no particular reason.

At least that'll stop the runaway truck!
