Looks like that is the case (unless that is the bottom of another route shield?)  The only one I've seen like that.

There's an A1216 and B1216 in the UK, a D-1216 in France, an A-1216 in Spain, a route 1216 in Thailand....among many others including some here in the US.  Can't find any pics of those, so Texas bikers come through.

There's no A1216 in the UK. A Roads come back in at 1250.
