This one was still standing as of the last time I was through there, although it's been a few years.

Assuming there's no rule against my using the same photo for multiple challenges...

I'm sure I have one of the newish Abraham Lincoln Expressway signs for I-65 in Kentucky.

In the meantime, have an abbreviated George Washington.

And a Ronald Reagan (cue SPUI in 3,2, 1...)

And of course, it has to be done (in the last minute of the Challenge, no less...):

(A picture that wouldn't have qualified when the Challenge was first posted–maybe that should be a Challenge itself!)

Challenge: Post photos of bannered route shield assemblies containing at least one banner other than Business (or BUS), Alternate (or ALT) or Truck.

(So, it can include any of the above types, as long as it also contains a banner other than those three. Thus, "TEMP BUSINESS" would be permitted, but "ALT TRUCK" would not.)

I posted this in the Take-It-Yourself challenge thread, but it definitely applies here too.

Another example of Iowa's Interstate emergency detours, this time as one single sign versus a marker with a stack of tabs.

Where in Norton is that? I have pictures of another Old Alt. 58 cutout, but don't ever recall having seen that particular assembly.

On Kentucky Ave EB just past 11th.  Don't know if it is still there...haven't been to Norton in a while but I've been more recently than GMSV:

Sticking with an "Old", here's Old US 66 in Galena, Kansas.  January 24, 2004.

While "Bypass" does not really seem to be in the spirit of this challenge, since it's not specifically excluded, so..

Yeah, I debated on excluding it, but figured it was just uncommon enough to allow. Still, for this Challenge, the rarer the better!

Does anyone here know why the standard is "BY-PASS" instead of "BYPASS" with no hyphen?

OK, the rule says we can't use "TRUCK." But what about "TRUCK ROUTE" or "TRUCKS?"
