This is semi-related to the "home block" discussion, but different.

February 10, 2018: Post a photo of the nearest non-Interstate highway to where you live.

For me, it would be US 271

I don't usually take shield close-ups, but for some reason I have one of mine, Iowa 5:

Edit: Normal shot of that same sign. Just south of the interchange with Iowa 92 SE of Knoxville.

MA 110. I have a whole bunch of photos containing MA 110, as it is the main route from my home to UMass Lowell by public transit and of the MVRTA in general. I excluded photos that had window reflections and those that were "to 110" or a BGS where MA 110 was upcoming but not visible.

This next one is a photo of MA 110 (and MA 113), even there is no MA 110 sign here. The word "sign" appears nowhere in the challenge text. (The background rectangular shield is probably a 113, not a 110.)

New York 5 and New York 67 are about the same distance from me as New York 30, right around a mile.  But I'll go with these, that might be the closest shields to my house, on Amsterdam's West End.  Taken during the Tropical Storm Irene flood on August 29, 2011.

Photos I post are my own unless otherwise noted.

AR-176 by TBKS1, on Flickr

Roughly a thousand feet away from my house.
I take pictures of road signs, that's about it.

General rule of thumb: Just stay in the "Traffic Control" section of the forum and you'll be fine.

Here's a cast-in-concrete route marker for US 50, above a pedestrian underpass three blocks from my apartment.

I fixed it. Must've been really tired.  I wasn't posting it early, I was actually posting it late. So, sorry for the misunderstanding.  :bigass:

Remember, though--you can always feel free to start your own daily challenge with the pictures you've amassed!  You could have just made one up for yesterday.  Anyone can invent the challenges.

Challenge: Post a road photo from any location where the Olympic Games have taken place.

For this Challenge, no repeats are permitted (even if a location has hosted the Games more than once)–so, you can't just unload your collection of photos from Atlanta or L.A. :-) And locations outside the U.S. are especially favored!

EDIT: To clarify, locations of outlying facilities are permitted, but they count for the official, principal location of the Games. For example, a photo of Whistler, BC would count for–and against–the 2010 Winter Games in Vancouver.
