I don't think that passes the game..." 1100"  is the Card Number/Value, and, while implied, "Population"  is the Suit/Color...all in UNO terms

I believe the only "Cards"  that can be played, lacking a Number on them, are WILDs

Proper Plays would be a sign with "1100"  on it, a "Population"  number on it, possibly "Ramsey"  with an unlabeled number following (for example, a common mileage sign, but that is simply "Ramsey #"  as that would literally match this sign), or a WILD

I like your thinking haha.  Invalid though, I agree.

Perhaps the only photo of an overhead BGS I've ever taken out the side window of a moving car.

Low on my 691s, so here's I-85 by I-285 in the southwest corner of North Carolina's Triad:

Lane ends 900 ft. => 230 meters to ATV/snowmobile crossing, on TCH 117 in northern Quebec:

One question -- why 230 meters, rather than a more even 200m or 250m? I saw a lot of 230 meter signs, as well as a few oddball distances (no photos, just after sunset) of 285m or 385m to school bus stops ahead.

If I had to guess, it's because 230 meters is very close to 750 feet.

And what is significant about 750 feet?

And what is significant about 750 feet?

It's halfway between 751 and 749 feet, naturally. (Though probably 500 and 1000, formerly a common value for US work zones.)

On that note, FL 750 in Pensacola:

I doubt that "a common value for US work zones" has any significance in northern Québec.  It also doesn't explain the other distance of 285 meters (935 feet) or 385 meters (1263 feet).
