I use a Mac as well. The cloverleaf key is "command" or "cmd." Not hard to figure out.

What bugs me is the keyboard shortcut differences between Mac and Windows. Command-left arrow moves the browser back a window on the Mac, but it's alt-left arrow on a PC.

I'll trust your word that it's "command" but that doesn't solve the problem of remembering a completely arbitrary renaming of rest-of-the-world keys to Apple keys.

What, do you expect the planes to just land on a cloud or something?

They used to start their descent earlier and would level out once or twice before reaching the ground.

Descent and landing is dependent on a lot of factors: location, obstructions, air traffic, runway length, weather, aircraft type, total weight, pilot experience, and even where you sit on that aircraft.

A descent and landing into Midway (in a city with many obstructions, increased air traffic/movements, short runway), is different than "nearby" Peoria (open space, longer runway, limited traffic).

Sometimes you glide gently and sometimes it's a long, bumpy, coaster ride.

Our best friends are living as Christian missionaries in Mexico.  When he travels outside of their usual area, he notifies me so I can follow his GPS track.  (This started as a safety precaution, but it's never actually worked out that way in real life.  The first time they had a breakdown, I could see they'd stopped in the middle of nowhere but couldn't reach them by cell phone.  Then, the time they were run off the road by what we assume was a drug cartel punk not counting on his simply leaving the pavement for a few seconds, and the time they went through a big cartel highway "checkpoint", the ten minutes between pings never alerted me to anything out of the ordinary.  But I digress.)

Yesterday, he and another fellow from their church down there made a 870-km drive for that other fellow to attend medical mission training.  I noticed that, 160 km in, he missed his turn.  This didn't surprise me too much, because he's missed it before.  Anyway, here's how this went:

— Sends me GPS notification
— I start following his GPS track
— Misses turn
— I call him, no answer, multiple attempts
— I can see they haven't turned around, 70 km and counting
— I call his wife, so she can call him or the other fellow
— She lets me know he had his phone on Do Not Disturb, and my number isn't on the short list
— He calls me from his Mexican cell number, asks if I was calling his US cell number
— Yeah, the same number I always call him on
— Oh, well, you won't be able to reach me on that number for most of the trip

Conversely, there's no Apple equivalent for the "Windows symbol" key.

Training someone to do just one piece of my job, who is not literate in Microsoft Excel.

Like, my whole work life revolves around Excel.  :banghead:

People/cities who wrap trees with Christmas lights all year round to make it look decorative. Beverly Hills has done this and it's pretty tacky. They'd be better off with landscaping lights. I don't mind them during Christmas time, but it kinda takes the fun out of it if they're up all year round.

It's Control + Mouse to us Windows folks and it's also an annoying backwards design step.

I hate it too. I've been looking for a web-browser extension that will change that, but so far without success.
