"Crazy?" I don't know. But odd, I guess. Unusual for sure.

In Bellevue, WA: a white "Apple Maps Look Around" Subaru Impreza Hatchback. Judging by the imagery, the Street View vehicle was waiting for a green light when the Impreza pulled up.

(street view image)

I don't have an Apple device, but it would be interesting if someone could pull up the Apple Maps "look around" imagery for this location, to see what was captured. Address (roughly) is 15899 SE 63rd St, Bellevue, WA (though it's at the corner of SE 63rd St, Cougar Mountain Way, & Lakemont Blvd SE).

This also happened at 85 Sloane Avenue in Toronto in the Jun 2019 streetview. (The Apple Maps Impreza is on the right of the image)

I see absolutely nothing unusual in that image.

Usually you see a similar thing when the car goes by a mirrored window.  Great algorithms think alike.

I see absolutely nothing unusual in that image.

It's just the two competing services running into each other. I've only seen one Street View car in my entire life, and I walk every day; gotta be fairly unusual for Apple Maps and Google Maps to run into each other while taking photos.

I remember seeing this happening with Bing Streetside instead in New York City. Both images were published, and Microsoft blurred out Mr. Google's car.

I just found something really weird. An image of somewhere in the Persian Gulf in a gallery related to Middle Island, New York!

Two GSVs street racing (though probably at the speed limit and not recklessly

I spy a small step ladder in the back seat, presumably for inspecting, cleaning, or adjusting the camera and apparatus.

I wonder how easy it is to remove that assembly? No, my first thought was servicing the vehicle on a lift or low bridge, not the street value of the Street View gear.

Or... "One vehicle passing another", which happens billions of times a day.
...both of which happen to be GSV. I dare you to find another example.

Google's logo updated in mid 2015 and here is this vehicle in 2018 using the logo from prior to that date.

True, but the Impreza hatch that the cameras are attached to were made prior to 2011. I'm guessing they just haven't got around to repainting them yet.

The newer Hyundai Elantra hatch models that they are now using have the new paint job with the new logo.

Here's something crazy; I think this might be the lowest clearance of any bridge in the country:

https://www.google.com/maps/@35.008879,-85.331907,3a,75y,165.11h,86.74t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1spi5PgTD73Np-19Bcxtb64Q!2e0!7i13312!8i6656?hl=en

Forget about driving a truck under that thing. There are people who couldn't fit underneath it!

Sorry, that is too high: https://www.google.es/maps/@49.4408942,1.0828414,3a,15y,262.44h,78.19t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1shtVAACxqonQYX_0zZgWR_g!2e0!7i16384!8i8192 (Okay, it's not in the USA but in France. For reference, this underpass has a clearance of 5' 11", and the bridge in the post above is 1.9 m)

5'11"? I'd have to bend down a bit.

My hair would breeze the ceiling! It's rare that I get to say that.

Good thing Europe has reasonably-sized vehicles. 100% chance of that ceiling being struck in America within an hour of opening. Though, yes, I can see that the bloody French have hit it too :-D No country is exempt from idiots unable to read signs or know how tall their car is.

Not quite so rare for me. At 6'3", I've had to duck through doorways a few times :D

I got a cousin who's just shy of 7'. Most of my life, it seems like he's been ducking down :-D. But the man is very modest, driving a Nissan Cube and all. I feel for him, since I know the world was designed closer to my height (5'10").
