Numerous roads in WNC/East Tennessee, including ones still closed like US 19W.

I-85 and I-95 before their respective fires and collapses.
I-95 near Exit 73 got bridges fired so badly they caused almost a collapse.

Bridge, you're fired!

...or demoted to pedestrian duty!

Still two levels of crap.

Would be better if the games were in their own subforum.

I get your argument. I'm used to reddit subreddits where the mods delete all new posts right after they are posted and if you disagree with the prevailing narrative you get banned.

For what it's worth, the reported posts queue has been dry as a bone lately; the most recent reported posts have all been "someone is mad that someone called them out for being wrong", which I don't consider actionable.

Music and Québec's Autoroutes:

The standard tuning pitch is A440, which is an Autoroute. Sometimes there will be an alternate tuning, such as A444 or A432 (the latter of which makes C powers of 2), but no other routes in this number range exist in Québec.

Under A440 tuning, A55 would be three octaves below A440. It also exists as an Autoroute. A880 (one octave higher) is in the correct range, but with no A80, there cannot be an A880.

The other Autoroutes are all impostors. Autoroute 13 under Baroque tuning (which was often approximately a half step flatter than modern music) would theoretically be an A, but as the lower limit of human hearing is 20 Hz, it would never appear in a musical piece.

I had a thought while putting together a post for another thread that the interstate system, as it stands today, could almost be described as an unfunded mandate.  Congress stopped designating new "chargeable" miles after 1969, and even "chargeable" miles don't have anything special in terms of funding beyond being eligible for 90% reimbursement instead of 80% - and that additional 10% still comes from the same pot of money as all a state's other federal funds, so that's not the boon that it appears to be at first glace.  Since a lot more roads beyond the interstate system are eligible for federal funds (there's the rest of the NHS and the Federal Aid system), and since federal funds are block-granted, the interstates must compete with all other federal roadways for the dollars in a state's apportionment.  However, there are performance targets regarding pavement and bridge conditions that the interstates have to meet in order for states to have full freedom to spend their funds as they like (otherwise, the states are required to spend them on the deficient interstates).  Thus, the interstates incur a funding obligation, but do not bring in additional funds themselves - it would be better for the states, in terms of transportation funding, to not have interstates at all and for them to be just other NHS routes.  The only value the interstate system provides is the branding value that the red, white, and blue shield carries - and that value is dependent on the places the interstates serve being places that businesses want to develop in the first place.  Thus, they act like an unfunded mandate - hence why new corridors take so long to build, and we don't see many new interstates in places that aren't booming, even if they would make a logical connection to the system.

Perhaps the Interstate system could be split between nationally significant interstates and locally significant, nationally significant being cross-country interstates, or interstates that are critical to national connectivity. And the interstates that are important locally, but if they were disconnected, like I-26 and 40 after Hurricane Helene, they wouldn't cause widespread disruption.

For the first category of nationally significant routes, funding would be prioritized. But the second category would take a back seat or possibly being reverted to solely state funding for maintenance. This might cut out some incentive for states like North Carolina to carpet all their highways with interstate shields, might also mean the majority of the 3dis get reverted to state funding.

I finished up writing and scheduling seven highway blogs over the last two days.  This puts our page at 78 scheduled future blogs through the end of July last year.  Most of these upcoming posts are either from California or Hawaii.  All the same I don't think since I've part of GN we've ever had this long of a backlog.  I guess website weekends aren't dead after all.
