Winner. It's right after a 55 zone, though.

Pretty sure from a sign I spot in the background this is in Washington, probably a state highway. I'll guess 55.

And you'd be correct, since this is WA-141 somewhere north of White Salmon.

LOL, I just realized the big white thing on the right is a reflection of the Cold Stone Creamery receipt. At first I thought it was a sound barrier! :-D

I'll guess 50 mph.

I feel dumb for not recognizing that, I've driven on WA-141 literally dozens of times. That said, I'm not looking for a turn in the game here, but I'm pretty sure unless they changed it within the past year (I last drove it in Sept 2020), or maybe they changed it a little earlier than that and I didn't notice last time, the speed limit is 55 there, as it jumps from 40 to 55 leaving Husum, all the way to the 35 zone in BZ Corner. I'm pretty sure the only 50 zone on WA-141 (unless it changed) was north of Trout Lake.

I wouldn't be surprised if they changed it though, because a few years ago they made a major change to the speed limits in Trout Lake. It used to go from 55 to 35 just south of the gas station, but now it drops from 55 to 40 way south of there (south of the school), then drops from 40 to 25 where it used to drop to 35. Which frankly I think is a good change, 25 through town makes sense as there are a lot of pedestrians there at times (I'm sometimes one of them).

Nice! Was not expecting that. Out of curiosity, where is the location of your photo?

I was going by the WSDOT Roadway Data tool, which now shows a 50 mph limit (as of 2020) for this section north of BZ-Glenwood Highway.

Wow, it actually does say that, all the way up to Trout Lake. I sure hope their tool is wrong, I usually average 65 in what I know as the 55 zone there, I'm almost surprised it's not 60 by WA standards, it's a good road. That said, there's not really any cops up there. I wonder if they added a 50 transition zone between the BZ 35 zone and the 55 zone, and accidentally marked the whole stretch as 50 when they updated the tool. Then again, why would they use a 50 transition zone and not 45. I guess I'll need to travel up there again and see for myself haha. Not sure when I'll get around to it though. Not to get political, but my family that lives up there is (mostly?) unvaccinated, so I'm not exactly in a hurry to see them right now.

Thanks for pointing out the road data tool, I'm going to have some fun poking around with that for a while.

I was considering 55 as my first guess, but was hoping it was higher. Could still be, but I'll guess 55 now.

I will throw in for 75, please.

Not a bad thought, since "55 mph highways that should have a higher limit" has been a theme in this thread. But this one is not 55...

The only realistic choice left, since it's clearly not TX 130, and 50 mph or lower would be absurd, 80 mph is indeed correct.

I-90 just outside Sioux Falls, SD.

Looks like it could be Long Island... so 55 mph?
