Since this thread seems to have gone quiet, here's a new one: (MPH)

55
Correct! This is OR 229 between Kernville and Siletz. Unfortunately, Street View is old and doesn't show the speed limit signs, but I drove this road quite a bit on my last vacation. It's fairly difficult to go anywhere near 55 MPH on most of that route!

Here's mine, it's in MPH.

35 mph

You got it! It's US-441 just inside the south entrance of Great Smoky Mountains National Park. I know, kind of misleading to use a national park, but someone had to do it. https://www.google.com/maps/@35.5060884,-83.3028117,3a,74y,308.53h,81.03t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1sQW1m64iLk-wv3_vZb0oqPQ!2e0!7i13312!8i6656!5m1!1e1

Most of US-441 is 45 MPH through the park, which on the mostly 2 lane curvy road actually feels fine. But this wide open stretch at 35 is a head scratcher, even by national park standards. Probably because it's right near the visitor center though.

Putting the above two pictures and their speed limits in juxtaposition is probably the best argument for a whole scale re-think of speed limits.  It should be based on more objective standards.

^ You're not wrong, but in the first picture, advisory speeds on the curves are essentially taking place of the speed limit (which is likely hardly posted). And in the second one, national parks are kind of known for their low speed limits, which I can't really argue with too much, since their primary purpose is for accessing the park, not through traffic.

As for my guess for the previous picture, 50 MPH.

70 mph?
Yep!

I-84 east of Pendleton, OR. Here's the speed limit sign farther up the hill. Look to the right of the speed limit sign and you can see more of I-84 at the bottom of the hill.

127 km/h

That would break the rules of the game.

It is divisible by 5.  The quotient is exactly 25.4, silly.

Could it be 140? That looks European to me, and besides Germany, looks like only Poland has 140 posted, so it could be there. I'm going off the "Close, but no cigar" clue after the 130 guess, otherwise I would have guessed something lower.
