Hmm. 30 when it "should really be 40" doesn't really strike me as ridiculous. I think that's about standard when it comes to speed limits in the US, which seem to universally be about ten miles per hour below the design speed.

Yeah, I could definitely see it being 40 mph, but 30 doesn't seem that far out of line given the narrow shoulders and what looks like a sidewalk adjacent to the roadway.

40 is correct. This is on the section of Seven Lakes Drive south of the Kanawauke Circle, which has a much higher design speed than the rest of Seven Lakes Drive, which is more reasonably posted at 40.
