What is the highest route number where you have been on two distinct routes?

Do not count two segments of the same route number (both I-88s), or related routes (I-794/WI 794, US 6/BUS US 6, IL 64/IA 64)

Mine is 524, with IN 524 and KY 524.

Is I-495 (MA) and NY/NJ 495 cheating? If it is, GA 400 and A400 in London.

Likely I-880 and FL 880.  I say “likely” given there is a crap ton of County Routes, Florida Roads and Hawaii Routes I’ve been on with high numbers.  I can’t recall two common ones off the top of my head at the moment.

Edit:  I have been on CA 905, SC 905, NC 905, Monroe County 905 and Monroe County Route 905A

Edit 2:  I have been on I-990 and FL 990 also.  I guess this why people keep TM accounts…

If we can count non-signed routes, it would be I-695 (DC, MD, and NY), and SR 695 (CT).  I've also done a few of the 495's (NY/NJ with either MA, DE, or MD/VA)

If none apply, it's CT 372 and PA 372

Interstates I've clinched: 97, 290 (MA), 291 (CT), 291 (MA), 293, 295 (DE-NJ-PA), 295 (RI-MA), 384, 391, 395 (CT-MA), 395 (MD), 495 (DE), 610 (LA), 684, 691, 695 (MD), 695 (NY), 795 (MD)

I don't know a lot about NY/NJ 495 or CT 695, but if their numbers are derived from I-95, then I'd consider them related to I-495 and I-695, respectively. They'd both be "children" of I-95 even though they aren't all interstates.

SR 695 is the stub end of the Connecticut Turnpike between I-395 and US 6 at the RI state line, so it's an I-95 grandchild route of sorts but not directly related to a child by the same number.

I-794 and WI-794.

And I have clinched both!

That was literally in the example in the OP as related routes that don't count.

As far as I can tell, for unrelated routes it is I-194 (ND) and MN 194.

For clinched routes it is MN 106 and SD 106.

I've traveled at least part of Kentucky 1247 and Louisiana 1247.

I've also traveled parts of both North Dakota 1806 and South Dakota 1806. Those routes are discontinuous and don't connect, but their numbers are based on the year the Lewis and Clark expedition passed through the Dakotas on their return trip from the Pacific Northwest.

The numbers themselves may be related but the routes themselves aren't related to each other so I wouldn't consider those to be related routes since they aren't both children of a common route.

Would KY 9002 count?  It's the unsigned route number for the Bluegrass Parkway

But is there another route with 9002 that you've driven?

Well... I can only think of 86 right now: NY-86 and I-86. I'll probably end up finding a better one though.

Would it be cheating to consider I-290 NY and I-290 MA as 2 separate routes?

Yes, they are related routes. Any routes whose number derive from a common route (in this case, I-90) are related.

ND 1806 and SD 1806 connect at the border between the states just west of the Missouri River.

Edit: nevermind, I thought ND 1806 continued to the border, looks like it ends at ND 24 near Cannon Ball. Regardless, they're both part of the Lewis And Clark Trail; I'd consider both highways 1806 related but I guess it's up to you.

If both are commonly known as the Lewis and Clark Trail in addition to 1806, that would make them related in my book.

Following OP's rules, mine would be US-131 and IL-131. I plan to clinch IL-131 soon. A US-131 clinch likely won't happen anytime soon.

What is the highest route number where you have been on two distinct routes?

Do not count ... I-794/WI 794

Well, mine happens to be 794. While I have been on (and clinched) both I-794 and WI-794, I have also been on (and clinched) NV794.

My highest with three different, unrelated routes is 610 (I-610 (both TX and LA), MN610, and NV610).

My highest with four different, unrelated routes is 371 (US371, CO371, MN371, MO371).

My next highest combo of different routes is actually traveling on 210 seven times (I-210/CA210, AL210, AZ210, MN210, MO210, PE210, WY210). I-210 and CA210 are related so counting that as one route.

Highest I can think of off the top of my mind is 270 (I-270 MO-IL, OH and MD, and US 270).

There's probably a higher one for me, but I need to take a look at small routes.

Without really diving in, my first thought from memory is MN 280 and NC 280.
