Based on how I look (somewhat young for my age) I don't think that anyone over 25 would be really into me, they would think I look too young.
My username has been outdated since August 2023 but I'm too lazy to change it

I thought the same thing around your age (I was 22).  Then the cash office auditor who was nine years older than me started flirting we me at work.  I talked to her pretty much everyday and one thing led to another...

Yes, it was interesting enough to quote twice...  Anyways, it really wasn't a secret around the office which is not how I would have preferred things.  I guess nobody really cared all much since neither of us was violating company policies. Considering I was working full time and in college it didn't last very long.  She caught me off guard when my lease was expiring by asking me if I wanted to split her rent (meaning move in).  I definitely wasn't ready for that at 22.

Well that answered my question. The way you phrased it made it wonder if you ended up marrying her (sorry) but I knew that was unlikely due to your other posts but I didn't want to flat out ask that.

Only been married once.  I started dating my wife in 2017 and got married in 2019.  What I'm talking about was way back in 2004-2005.

But in that line of thought, it was hard to take relationships seriously until I quit college.  I plain just didn't have the time for anything serious with how much I was out working or in class.

I forgot you were 42 because it wasn't in the profile anymore so I forgot how long ago you were 22. But that makes sense.

You're eligible at 50. So you're nearly half-way there.

AFAIK, there is no age limit for calling that number (except that over 18, I suppose).  So he's already eligible.
Someone under 18 could call that number. Sure, it might not be technically allowed, but as long as they can read there is nothing physically stopping them from typing in the digits and calling the number.

This is the kind of chaos that happens when you don't require "your parent's permission and credit card."
who said you can't just take your parents credit card out of their purse?

Being armed with a credit card hardly denotes permission to call.
You know what they say, if there's a will there's a way

Ah, threat of force I would imagine tends to grease the wheels with obtaining "permission."
They don't need permission. They need the other person on the phone to THINK they have permission. Very different things.

That really is the trick, isn't it?  You comfortable delving into the world of trickery and deception?
Sadly, this is the world we live in. We either adjust to the world or the world will trample us.

(I would never actually consider doing this)

Good thing you're only enough to not need parental permission to call.
What are credit card and permission laws like in Alanland, as this quote keeps getting longer?

Can't tell you without parental permission.
Dang, is 22 below the age of majority in Alanland?

No. The correct answer is 44

Good thing you're only enough to not need parental permission to call.
What are credit card and permission laws like in Alanland, as this quote keeps getting longer?

Can't tell you without parental permission.
Dang, is 22 below the age of majority in Alanland?

No. The correct answer is 44

How row can you go? Can you go down row? All the way to the floor. How row can you go?

Not much, she tried to talk me into it a couple more times and then dropped it.  Overall we dated for about five or six months.  I left for another job in 2005 and lost contact with her.  I did sign a lease extension and lived in the same apartment for another two years.

Funny though, my brother is seven years older than my sister in law.  Nobody ever batted an eye at that relationship when he started dating her when he was 30.  People definitely looked at my situation differently when the only difference was that the woman was the older person in the relationship.

Quote from: Roadgeekteen on September 23, 2025, 11:37:25 PMBased on how I look (somewhat young for my age) I don't think that anyone over 25 would be really into me, they would think I look too young.

You might need to expand your target range to include women who think they're getting too old and have decided to settle.

I was going to use the term "cougar" but I wasn't sure RGT would get the reference.  If anything the story I told was very much the PG version.
