It happened while the drivers were sitting at a stoplight in Omaha, Nebraska on Tuesday.

I drive through there fairly frequently. I'd say they are incredibly lucky to have been stopped when it happened, vs. hitting a freshly opened sinkhole at 40mph or so.

They were thinking maybe a water main break, but preliminary investigation points to that not being the case.  Now they're thinking maybe a sewer failure.
