Yet another "newbie" road geek [although I did post once or twice on Usenet maybe twenty years ago]:

My name is Larry and I'm currently living in Louisville, KY, after living in Sunnyvale and Cupertino, CA [my claim to fame is beating Steve Jobs in a high school district math contest], San Luis Obispo, CA [college], Wake Forest, NC [graduate school], and Fort Worth, TX.

I just stumbled on this forum during a google search, and look forward to participating and hopefully help people.

Olive Garden must be stopped.  I must stop them.

Don't @ me. Seriously.

Yay! Another resident of far southern Indiana in the forum.  :sombrero:
Government would be tolerable if not for politicians and bureaucrats.

Steve competed with many Larrys (Ellison, Page), but "that Larry from high school" is who he cited as inspiring him to never again be outdone in life*

Welcome to the forum!
Thank you.
His high school [Homestead] won the team competition, but I was the top individual. I went to Monta Vista, and was the first one there to score an 800 on the Math portion of the SAT, which sounds impressive until you realize that our class was the first or second to take the SAT. (It was a new school at the time.) I sometimes wonder what the 'butterfly effect' would have been had he won, since the scholarship money from it paid for my college, and he dropped out after one semester due to lack of funds and had to eventually move back to Los Altos.

I don't need a GPS.  I AM the GPS! (for family and friends)
