With all that brown, looks like the salad is wilted!  :bigass:

Damn....I was gonna roll with taco salad.  :sombrero:

This I found in a handout for an MUTCD class I took for my job.  The lecturers speaking for the FHWA really wanted to be clear about denouncing excessive amounts of signage leading to information overload.  This is the ridiculous example they cited right in the presentation.  Congratulations to PennDOT!   :pan:

Hahahaha! Great spotting and what a great find! So appropriate for this thread, too!

Was looking through some photos from a trip from a few years ago and found these salads:

Government would be tolerable if not for politicians and bureaucrats.

Caught a couple on my short road trip this weekend.

This one was posted earlier, but my picture is more current and easier to read.

How about some cutout sine salad?

A salad with at least one brown, wilted component

And some unisine salad

Something is off with the US 84 shield, it's like the Peyton Manning of route shields.

Everything is or gets you to a 90 from here.  But no mention that NY 5 and US 20 also continue straight ahead.  Could have been a much bigger salad.

Photos I post are my own unless otherwise noted.

I just dug up a photo of a small salad of my own on U.S. 301 north in Middletown, Delaware. I took this while going through there on July 8, 2016. Again, it's a small salad, probably just lettuce, compared to a lot of the other ones in this thread, since it's just five shields that manage to make up a pretty comprehensive display.

It took me a while to get that the "Except Bikes" nearly at ground level had to do with the "No left turns" at the top of the pole...

Apologies if this was already posted. Here's an old a vintage salad from the AARoads gallery.

I'd like to post an update to the Concordville, Pennsylvania salad from August 2012 and also add another looking east/north from U.S. 1 if it counts.

Another one I took myself. A sensible portion of routes with a side of restaurants and a library garnish.

So, Ohio had a state route 69?  Now it is state route 235.  Did not know that.  Thank you Wikipedia.
I don't need a GPS.  I AM the GPS! (for family and friends)

Gotta love how half the salad is of PennDOT origin and the other half by a contractor.

I love how the "TO" sign is under the I-81 shield in this one instead of above it. It's hilarious.

Heh.  Yeah, K-DOT had too much free time with those signs during the Johnson County Gateway to Hell.

Is that a game of Roulette?
