My recent foray through Georgia, the most extensive I've ever done, revealed that Georgia is a salad lover's dream.

Pretty much anywhere two US routes in Georgia meet guarantee that two more Georgia shields will be added; many two-digit GA routes also piggy-back off other routes for good measure.

Too bad most of their US route shields look misshaped.

Off US 190 west of Baton Rouge, LA:

I don't think this one counts. Each sign is on its own post, without a common post holding them together. (Look from behind.)

Ramps to K-10, I-435, and I-35 in Lenexa.
Heh.  Yeah, K-DOT had too much free time with those signs during the Johnson County Gateway to Hell.

This was obviously taken before the C/D ramp to I-35 opened. The salad is a little cleaner now.
Peace to you, and... don't drive like my brother.

Would it kill Georgia (and many other southern states) to just go on a decommissioning binge?

With all that brown, looks like the salad is wilted!  :bigass:

Damn....I was gonna roll with taco salad.  :sombrero:

The 6's have it!

It's 10th and Main Streets in Great Bend, Kansas.

US-56, K-156, and K-96 is on 10th Street, while US-281 on Main.

I meant no disrespect.  I was trying to figure out how to link to your image.

route56, I was indeed. My apologies.

Yes, the sine salad is more tame now. Now about the over-sized sign bridges for 95th St from northbound I-35 as part of the DDI project...

I'm not done. I have three from Front Royal, Virginia. May I suggest a trip there for delicious salads.

Finally, one from near Boyce, Virginia. Sorry for posting three replies in a short time span. I just had a lot of fun today discovering some salads that I didn't think anyone had caught before.

I have photos of all of those, except one from Front Royal, but haven't posted them.

This seems to be a new one in Decatur, Alabama. I think it replaced a trio of signs:

ALDOT is using more green unisigns, but this seems a little imbalanced.

THe traffic signal here seems to be problematic.  Is it true that the doghouse posted has a right turn arrow on the left side of the doghouse signal?

Seems confusing.

If I had to guess, it's a standard 5-section left turn display that was retrofitted to control a right turn. Definitely not MUTCD-kosher...

Is the Hospital sign part of the assembly? Even if it's not, I'd give you credit (3 shields, 2 guide signs).

Even if it isn't 'salad', it's definitely an appetizer (a lot to take in all at once)

This is kind of a diatribe, but if a sign salad is all one big signboard (i.e. a unisign), can we call it a sign pizza?
