Oh, didn't you know?  If there's a tie, it goes to third place.
Actually in thinking about it, I think you are correct in your statement. I wouldn't have an issue in letting you have the runner-up spot, though others might disagree...

FLRoads

I took a gamble tonight in picking Kyle Larson and it didn't work out to well for me. There is always next week though and Talladega will hopefully be more eventful.

CNGL-Leudimin

I didn't knew this weekend was the last race on a (over)night schedule.  At least I'm a little closer to the leader, but with only 5 rounds to go, I'm sure it won't happen. So now for the scoreboards:
Chase for the cup:
1. (1.) 6018555 (flaroads), 854 points (+160)
2. (2.) jcm9572 (mefailenglish), 830 pts (+175)
3. (3.) jlyben9174 (Alex's wife), 792 pts (+169)
4. (4.) AARoads (Alex), 790 pts (+180) (Runner-up)
5. (5.) Leudimin (Me ), 773 pts (+165)
6. (6.) kshighways (route56), 713 pts (+148)

Overall:
1. (1.) 6018555 (flaroads), 4,718 points (+160)
2. (2.) jcm9572 (mefailenglish), 4,715 pts (+175)
3. (3.) jlyben9174 (Alex's wife), 4,604 pts (+169)
4. (4.) Leudimin (Me ), 4,580 pts (+165)
5. (5.) kshighways (route56), 4,481 pts (+148)*
6. (6.) AARoads (Alex), 4,216 pts (+180) (Runner-up)

* Entered in round 4, lowest score up to there assigned.

And next week, we come back to that track where things can shake up: Talladega AL. It is the last time the scoreboards could mess up, so you never know...
Supporter of the construction of several running gags, including I-366 with a speed limit of 85 mph (137 km/h) and the Hypotenuse.

Please note that I may mention "invalid" FM channels, i.e. ending in an even number or down to 87.5. These are valid in Europe.

If you have Brian Vickers in your line-up, you might want to make a change.  He's going to miss the rest of the year with a blood clot in his leg.   :-(

Oh definitely...where I scored a lowly 51 earlier this year. And while at Talladega for last year's October race, Sam Hornish, Jr's #22 about summed it up:

CNGL-Leudimin

In order not to crash like we did last time, I have selected my roster carelessly. So don't be surprised if I come up with David Ragan... :-P

Not a bad strategy (like I should be giving advise on that given my 51 at 'Dega earlier this year), I may do something similar. My team in the spring seemed to be solid (outside of Trevor Bayne who crashed out solo early on in the race), but all but one of my drivers finished in the 30s *crash and burn*.

I went with the idea tha, if you start up front, you're less likely go get caught up in a wreck. Seeing as how qualifing got washed, this should be interesting...
Peace to you, and... don't drive like my brother.

Curious to see who hangs in the back and for how long. Should be quite interesting indeed.

Single-file racing snoozefest at Talladega of all places. And one of my crap shoot picks burned me, giving me one of the few DNF's (Ambrose) in the race. Not even a top-ten driver with that 20 or so circuit of practice laps leading to that final crash...

Glad Austin Dillan was unhurt and that his car landed on its tires and not its roof after he went airborn.

I could have done without the announce team prefacing "The Big One" every three minutes too. I am sure they were told "keep saying it to keep viewers watching" while the drivers were toll by Helton "keep it clean or else".
</soap box>

Plus the Eagles were mowed over by the Cowgirls, so not a good sports day.

Here's hoping TNA's Bound for Glory has something worth seeing...

FLRoads

From the little bit I seen of the Truck race yesterday, that was a much better race. Of course I am sure Helton doesn't view the Truck series as important as the Sprint in his eyes. I cannot even recall where they finished pretty much in a single file format at Talladega. I am glad to see McMurray won though, as he does usually do fairly well at the restrictor-plate tracks.

If they keep up this kind of "racing", then Darrel Waltrip is going to have to change his motto of "Let's go racin' boys" to "Let's go drive 'round in a circle, boys", and that just don't sound right.

I'm certainly hoping BFG will be better to watch than watching that race and the Bucs fall 0-6!! They need to get that penalty monster off their back. If not it will be off early to bed for me...

Okay, that's my little bit of getting off track. Now back to racing...

CNGL-Leudimin

I made a good move by having Ragan in my lineup. From the scoreboard, I predict the last four races (Martinsville VA, Fort Worth TX, Avondale AZ and the final at Homestead FL) will be a battle between mefailenglish and flaroads. I'll try to steal the 3rd place from Alex's wife. So now for the scoreboards:
Chase for the cup:
1. (1.) 6018555 (flaroads), 987 points (+133)
2. (2.) jcm9572 (mefailenglish), 977 pts (+147) (Runner-up)
3. (3.) jlyben9174 (Alex's wife), 932 pts (+140)
4. (5.) Leudimin (Me ), 912 pts (+139)
5. (4.) AARoads (Alex), 899 pts (+109)
6. (6.) kshighways (route56), 849 pts (+136)

Overall:
1. (2.) jcm9572 (mefailenglish), 4,862 pts (+147) (Runner-up)
2. (1.) 6018555 (flaroads), 4,851 points (+133)
3. (3.) jlyben9174 (Alex's wife), 4,744 pts (+140)
4. (4.) Leudimin (Me ), 4,719 pts (+139)
5. (5.) kshighways (route56), 4,617 pts (+136)*
6. (6.) AARoads (Alex), 4,325 pts (+109)

* Entered in round 4, lowest score up to there assigned.

Whatever. Yep, I picked wrong this week. Its not over yet.

FLRoads

Congrats on your win, Joe! Not sure how I will be able to catch you now. I don't know why I ended up picking up Kyle Larson again other than I made a dumb decision on choosing him and Kasey Kane as well. To be honest I'm glad you are in the lead because I have been feeling the heat for way too long. But there is three races left so anything can still happen.

CNGL-Leudimin

No runner-up this week! :-P Besides that, I cut 36 points with flaroads. Virtually I can't win current league now. Scoreboards will be put up tomorrow.

Thanks.  Martinsville is my favorite track and I'm always happy to see it come up on the schedule.  I'm not surprised that Gordon and Johnson finished highly, but I was surprised that all of my team snuck into the top 10.

And you never know.  I might get the itch to go driving and forget to edit my lineup and leave someone like Austin Dillon active.  It's happened before.  (Actually, I am considering a trip up to Georgia to pick up some counties and visit Andersonville and Jimmy Carter NHS over Veterans' Day weekend.  I might even take a detour through Perry FL to pick up a missing mile or so of Truck 221 to complete my clinch of all US highways in Florida.)

CNGL-Leudimin

As promised, the scoreboards. I did a mistake, I said there were no runner-ups when there is actually the one on the segment scoreboard, but not the overall one.

But I do appreciate the 4 extra points he gave me by going back out and rising from 42nd to 38th.

Another solid, but not spectacular, week at Phoenix.  Points racing at its finest.  32 point lead for the "Chase" segment, and 53 overall.  But as they roll into my neck of the woods in Homestead, this thing is not over.  Just look back a few weeks at Martinsville; flip that result around and I'm on the outside looking in.

CNGL-Leudimin

Sorry for this late post about scoreboards. My computer broke down and until today it wasn't repaired. But the same day the computer stopped working, I got a tablet PC (I don't know the correct term) and I managed to enter the ESPN website to make my changes. And this turned out to be a brilliant move, leaving me only 9 points behind the podium just before the last round. Now for the penultimate scoreboards:
Chase for the cup:
1. (1.) jcm9572 (mefailenglish), 1,480 points (+152)
2. (2.) 6018555 (flaroads), 1,448 pts (+146)
3. (3.) jlyben9174 (Alex's wife), 1,433 pts (+150)
4. (5.) Leudimin (Me ), 1,429 pts (+180) (Runner-up)
5. (4.) AARoads (Alex), 1,396 pts (+158)
6. (6.) kshighways (route56), 1,227 pts (+136)

Overall:
1. (1.) jcm9572 (mefailenglish), 5,365 points (+152)
2. (2.) 6018555 (flaroads), 5,312 pts (+146)
3. (3.) jlyben9174 (Alex's wife), 5,245 pts (+150)
4. (4.) Leudimin (Me ), 5,236 pts (+180) (Runner-up)
5. (5.) kshighways (route56), 4,995 pts (+136)*
6. (6.) AARoads (Alex), 4,822 pts (+158)

* Entered in round 4, lowest score up to there assigned.

So, on Sunday is the final race at Homestead FL. What will happen? Also, I will post the scoreboards without any adjustement, and with on_wisconsin in it.

Congrats to Joe on winning the Stock Car Challenge!

I made some moves last night that burned me. Oh well, seems to have been how my rookie season went.

It seems Richie gave up after Talladega. KRN!  :-P

Glad that everyone participated, maybe we can do it again next season!

FLRoads

Congratulations to you, Joe! I felt there would be no way to catch you in this last race. Seems Matt Kenseth and I have something in common now...lol
