I have not.  I'm missing a bunch of three-digit interstates, which I don't pay attention to, and the following two-digit:

I-24: Nashville to western terminus
I-69: Indianapolis to Port Huron, also other sections which have opened in Indiana
I-79: northern terminus to I-76
I-85: I-285 (eastern junction) to Gaffney, SC
I-94: Detroit to Port Huron
I-96: Muskegon to western terminus (really should've gotten that when I was there!  )

Assuming one only needs to go one direction to 'clinch' an interstate, all of DE's interstates can be clinched in about an hour's drive! :-)

Almost certain never to happen for me, at least on the national level. I do have both Delaware and DC's Interstates clinched, though, along with all but about a mile in Maryland (missing I-70 from I-68 to the Pennsylvania line).

I'm up to 88.46% as of my last update. I have, however, added more miles by clinching the rest of I-495 in MA, most of I-195 in MA (and all of it in RI). Also, will clinch some more in LA.

The only interstate I haven't driven the majority of (2di) is I-16 and I-49. Small portions of each. Most others, I've clinched mostly toward the borders or ends (I-29 also up to Fargo). International crossings, I usually stop at the most adjacent exit, unless I plan on crossing. Such as I-19 in Nogales, I've gone as far as Exit 12.

Most of what I don't have are 3dis. The last 20 mi or so of the LIE. I-80 to I-81 of the I-476. I have a lot of LA freeways still to go, and the southern ends of I-5 and I-15 from the LA area to San Diego are mostly blank. I do have almost all of I-8, though. Which is how I got the last two counties of CA. I do have most of future I-22 and future I-69 done in AL/MS and TX, respectively. I do need to get the new section of I-69 in IN when it opens. I've already driven the routing of what will become I-69 in KY and TN that's already freeway.

One big blank spot is probably Baltimore, Richmond, and the I-40/I-26 from I-95 to the coast. I got the end of I-26 and I-526. But, I-40 from mostly Mount Olive to the cost is blank. And the loops and spurs of Baltimore are mostly empty (including I-83 inside the loop).

Per CHM I have traveled 30.19% of the interstate system, or 14,454 miles. Which somehow seems like a lot to me (It's half of my total CHM mileage!), but I suppose those miles come more easily when they're all at freeway speeds.

Complete states for me are CT, DC, DE, NJ, and RI. My plans surrounding the Portsmouth road meet in a couple weeks involve adding NH, MA, and VT to that list.

Complete 2dis clinched: 16, 19, 66, 68, 78, 81, 83, 84(E), 86(E), 87, 88(E), 91.
Within a few weeks I should also have 89, 93, and 97.

Generally, I'm not interesting in 'clinching' an entire route, but if I'm driving and I know I'll be getting off a road near where I have ended a previous segment, I will tend to drive further to get to it and then can have one solid line highlighted on my map.


I just drove from Los Angeles to Ohio and zig-zagged through Utah, Colorado, and Nebraska to hit the rest of the counties in Utah (1) and Nebraska (mostly along NE 2 and a few in the far northeast near US20), and tried to consider clinching the rest of US20 through NE, but had to cut short and did the most economical drive home from there. However, that still means I-129 is blank for me. But, I have a lot of IA, MN, SD, ND, and northeast MT to go, so I'm sure I'll be up in that area again some time.
