The first shield of SR 182 follows the Perdido Beach Boulevard intersection with Grand Key Drive. The two lane roadway quickly expands into a five lane arterial through eastern reaches of Orange Beach. 06/10/10

The Perdido Pass Bridge rises from Florida Point on Perdido Key to carry SR 182 over the inlet between the Gulf of Mexico and Perdido Bay. An access road departs SR 182 for the park area south of the span. 06/10/10
Perdido Pass represents the only navigable waterway between the Intracoastal Waterway and Gulf in south Baldwin County. A high-level bridge, built in 1989, carries five travel lanes of SR 182, bike lanes and a pedestrian walkway across the inlet. 08/02/06

In addition to sign changes at Orange Beach Boulevard, the span wire signal assembly was changed to mast arms by 2009 to coincide with the addition of the Shoppes of Paradise Pointe retail plaza added to the northwest corner of SR 161/182. 08/02/06
SR 161 (Orange Beach Boulevard) travels 1.7 miles north from SR 182 to SR 180 (Canal Road). SR 180 leads west from Orange Beach Boulevard three miles to the Foley Beach Express, a 13.5 mile-road toll bridge and four lane expressway east of Foley. 08/02/06, 07/31/10, 03/09/09

State Park Road 2 shield formerly posted on SR 182 (East Beach Boulevard) westbound at the south end in Gulf State Park. A 1.5 mile section of the route closed to vehicular traffic on August 18, 2016 as part of the Gulf State Park master plan to convert it a multi use path. 05/16/04
The two lane roadway of Park Road 2 looped east of Shelby Lakes as a popular short cut to SR 135 (Park Road). 07/31/10
A southern segment of State Park Road 2 was retained as an access road to the park campground. A northern portion connects SR 135 with the park golf course. 07/31/10
SR 182 meets SR 135, 0.75 miles west of Park Road 2. Similar to Park Road 2, SR 135 also comprises a loop through Gulf State Park as the state route skirts west of Shelby Lakes between SR 182 (East Beach Boulevard) and SR 180 (East Second Street / Fort Morgan Road). 05/16/04
SR 135 constitutes a 2.1 mile route along Park Road. Connections with SR 180 provide an alternate route to SR 59 (Gulf Shores Parkway) north to Foley. Gulf State Park Pier, opened July 23, 2009, ties into the SR 135 and 180 intersection from the south. The access road addition resulted in new mast-arm supported traffic lights. 05/16/04, 07/31/10

East 1st Street flows north from Gulf Place and the main public beach of Gulf Shores across SR 182 to East 2nd Avenue. 03/09/09
SR 182 continues one block west to the south end of SR 59 (Gulf Shores Parkway). Gulf Shores Parkway provides the main route between the coastal resort area and Interstates 10 & 65 in central and north Baldwin County. The state route crosses the Intracoastal Waterway two miles to the north. 03/09/09

Northward SR 59 intersects SR 180 (Fort Morgan Road) in 1.25 miles, U.S. 98 at Foley in 11 miles, and Interstate 10 (Exit 44) in 29 miles.
