State Route 218
California 218 provides an alternate route between California 1 in Seaside and California 68 southeast of Monterey Regional Airport (MRY). The 2.9 mile long route navigates along Canyon Del Rey Boulevard through Del Rey Oaks and connects with California 68 near Ventana Vineyards. The northernmost portion of the route, from Sonoma Avenue to the east side ramps of California 1, is a four-lane arterial.
The state route was designated in 1959, replacing Route 169.
West
SR 218 west concludes at SR 1 (Cabrillo Highway) in the city of Seaside.
