County Road 23 - Padgett Switch Road
There are two branches of County Route 23 along Padgett Switch Road. The southern leg extends 5.9 miles south from CR 39 and Half Mile Road near Irvington to SR 188 at Bayou La Batre. The northern section runs 2.2 miles between Half Mile Road and U.S. 90.
North
CR 23 (Padgett Switch Road) north concludes at Half Mile Road (CR 24), where CR 39 begins. The extension of CR 39 south from U.S. 90 at Irvington to CR 23/24 opened to traffic in June 2009.
