Polk County Road 33A lines Edgewood Drive for 2.74 miles from SR 37 (Florida Avenue) between the Edgewood and Lake Hollingsworth neighborhoods in Lakeland east to U.S. 98 (Bartow Avenue) at the Lake Bentley neighborhood and unincorporated Eaton Park.

Florida State Secondary Road 33A was formerly designated along Combee Road in Polk County from U.S. 98 at Eaton Park north to SR 33 northeast of Lakeland. Combee Road was eventually renumbered to State Road 659. Edgewood Drive west from U.S. 98 to CR 37A (Lake Highlands Drive) was historically State Secondary Road 35A.

County Road 33A East
CR 33A (Edgewood Drive) ends at U.S. 98 (Bartow Road) and the Lakeland city line. U.S. 98 angles northwest toward Downtown Lakeland and southeast through Eaton Park to Highland City and the Polk County seat of Bartow. 05/31/15
County Road 33A West
CR 37A (Lakeland Highlands Road) stems south from CR 33A (Edgewood Drive) along the Lake Somerset neighborhood to SR 570 (Polk Parkway) and CR 540A by the census designated place of Lakeland Highlands. The lone shield for SR 37A posted on CR 33A west was removed by 2022. 07/02/19
