Osceola County Road 530

Branching northeast from U.S. 192/441 through east Kissimmee, Osceola County Road 530 follows Simpson Road to the Buenaventura Lakes community and the end of Osceola Parkway (CR 522). Prior to March 2014, Boggy Creek Road overtook the unsigned county road east from CR 522 between the Orange County line to the north and and East Lake Tohopekaliga and Fells Cove to the south. This section of roadway was renamed as an extension of Simpson Road to alleviate motorist confusion.

Simpson Road Phase 1, an Osceola County project, widens Simpson Road between Myers Road and Boggy Creek Road at the Orange County line. The 1.2 mile long expansion project adds two 11-foot wide travel lanes separated by a narrow median and 10 foot wide sidewalks. Construction runs to late 2024.¹

Straddling the county border along Boggy Creek Road, CR 530 ties into CR 15 (Narcoossee Road) south of Medical City in Orlando and north of Narcoossee. CR 530 is an extension of SR 530, the state road counterpart of U.S. 192 west from Kissimmee to U.S. 27 at Four Corners.

The Boggy Creek Road Widening Project reconstructs the two lane road into a four lane boulevard. 5.9 miles in length, construction started in 2024 and runs through 2026.²

East

CR 530 arcs 1.25 miles northeast from the east end of Osceola Parkway (CR 522) along Simpson Road to Boggy Creek Road along the Orange County line. The Simpson Road Phase 1 widening project included adding traffic lights at Ward Road north. 05/29/24

Traffic lights were added at Stratton Circle by 2023 to accommodate development along the north side of Simpson Road. 05/29/24

Forthcoming Boggy Creek Road north heads 1.3 miles to the Central Florida GreeneWay at Jeff Fuqua Boulevard, the south access road into Orlando International Airport (MCO). The replacement of this guide sign was removed during 2023/24 construction. 08/25/07

Removed in 2023/24 construction, an end shield appeared for Osceola County Road 522 at the unmarked turn of CR 530 from Simpson Road onto Boggy Creek Road east. CR 522 however does not extend beyond Osceola Parkway. 08/25/07

Boggy Creek Road north to Jeff Fuqua Boulevard leads five miles to the passenger terminal at Orlando International Airport (MCO). CR 530 extends another 5.9 miles east along Boggy Creek Road to CR 15 (Narcoossee Road). 05/29/24

Narcoosee Road south leads to Runnymeade and eastern reaches of St. Cloud. CR 15 continues Narcoosee Road northward to Medical City, Lake Nona, Village Walk, and Eagle Creek in suburban southeastern Orlando. 05/29/24

Boggy Creek Road (CR 530) straddles the Orange Count y line west from Narcoossee Road before turning south and then west again to Turnberry Boulevard at Austin-Tindall Park. 04/01/14
