Rock Island County Road N
County Road N constitutes a 3.4 mile route from Illinois 5 and County Road GG (Barstow Road) north to Illinois 84 in Rock Island County. The route connects northern reaches of Carbon Cliff and Silvis with the Babcock community in East Moline and the village of Hampton. CR N was previously numbered as CR 52.
North
County Road GG (Barstow Road) intersects IL 5/92 across from the northbound beginning of County Road N.

County Road N winds onto the bluffs rising along the east side of Hampton as it follows 4th Street east from IL 84 (State Avenue). A distance sign posted at the beginning references IL 2, a route truncated west of Sterling in 1974.

The initial 0.7 mile stretch of CR N rises 100 feet in elevation. Curving southward along 40th Street, CR N lowers from the bluffs onto a flat agricultural plain ahead of 20th Street and Sugar Creek.

Entering the Babcock community, CR N (40th Street) intersects 4th Avenue west to Jacobs Park and IL 84 in East Moline and east to the IL 5/92 expressway.

South from 4th Avenue, CR N (40th Street) continues 1.2 miles to IL 5/92 at Barstow Road (CR GG).

County Road N turns east to end opposite County Road GG (Barstow Road) at IL 5 & 92. The state routes combine southwest to a nearby exchange with IL 84 along the Carbon Cliff and Silvis city line and east to Interstates 80 and 88.

CR GG (Barstow Road) meanders east along a 10.3 mile course through portions of East Moline to the settlements of Barstow and Osborn. The rural route ends at 38th Avenue near I-88 and Joslin.
