Former State Route 30 Alternate

Delaware State Route 30 Alternate

South of the suburban outskirts of Milford, SR 30A was posted along a 0.74 mile section of Johnson Road (Road 207). The state route linked SR 30 (Cedar Creek Road) with SR 1 (Coastal Highway).1 Further north, changes made at SR 30 realigned the route to parallel to SR 1 and directly tie into SR 1 Business. Access between SR 1 and SR 30 was limited to a right in right out connection along the southbound lanes of the SR 1 expressway. SR 30A provided connectivity from SR 30 (Cedar Creek Road) north to SR 1 north and from SR 1 north to SR 30 south.

With the July 2014 completion of the SR 1 interchange at SR 30 (Cedar Creek Road) and Wilkins Road, SR 30A was no longer needed. Furthermore the intersection between Johnson Road and SR 1 (Coastal Highway) was reconfigured to eliminate the left-hand turn to SR 1 northbound.

SR 30 Alternate appeared on Delaware Official State Maps throughout the 2000s to the 2012 edition. A lone junction shield assembly remains posted along SR 30 north for SR 30 Alternate as of January 2017.
