State Road 39A - Paul Buchman Highway
SR 39A extends north from Wheeler Street and Interstate 4 in Plant City along Paul Buchman Highway to SR 39 (Alexander Street). The route follows part of the former alignment of SR 39 to Downtown Plant City.
When the 2.6 mile long extension of Alexander Street opened northward from Interstate 4 (Exit 20) in Plant City on December 23, 2013,1 SR 39 was realigned west from Buchman Highway onto the new four lane highway. Buchman Highway north and Wheeler Street south into Downtown Plant City was subsequently designated as County Road 39. This changed on June 30, 2017, when Wheeler Street south of I-4 was transferred to Plant City and Buchman Highway north was renumbered as SR 39A.
State Road 39A was previously assigned to Alexander Street west around Plant City until 2014. The 3.88 mile route looped northwest from James J. Redman Parkway (SR 39) to I-4 (Exit 21) and Franklin Street.

CR 580 overlays Sam Allen Road for 5.5 miles west to Branch Forbes and Thonotassa Roads and east to Park and Wilder Roads. Construction through 2021 expands the road to four lanes across north Plant City.
