State Road 73

State Road 73 travels 49.27 miles overall from SR 71 at Chipola Park in southern Calhoun County to U.S. 231 north of Cottondale in Jackson County. The mostly rural highway is an alternate to SR 71 north to Clarksville and Marianna. Beyond an overlap with U.S. 90 west from Marianna, SR 73 provides a cutoff north to U.S. 231.

Since removed, the shield for CR 280 on SR 73 south only referenced the route heading east along Magnolia Road. Thompson Road also leads CR 280 west to CR 167 (Fairview Road).
