State Road 616
SR 616 (Spruce Street) intersects O'Brien Street south of the TPA runways and east of the multi level systems interchange with SR 60 (Memorial Highway) and George J. Bean Parkway. - 02/02/2018
State Road 616 provides access to Tampa International Airport (TPA) from Dale Mabry Highway (U.S. 92) to the east within the city of Tampa. The 1.79 mile long route lines Columbus Drive and Boy Scout Boulevard west to the International Plaza and Bay Street retail center, and Spruce Street west from there to a systems interchange with both SR 60 (Memorial Highway) and George J. Bean Parkway north into the airport.
SR 616 replaced the eastern leg of SR 589, when the Veterans Expressway was completed northward in 1994. SR 589 originally followed an L-shaped route west from U.S. 92 to SR 580 (Hillsborough Avenue) on the west side of TPA airport.

A two lane flyover joins SR 60 (Memorial Highway) east with SR 616 (Spruce Street) east a half mile from O'Brien Street.
