Continuing south from the SPUI with George King Boulevard, SR A1A (Astronaut Boulevard) enters a commercial strip in the city of Cape Canaveral. 09/28/13
Central Boulevard connects SR A1A with condo communities and Manatee Sanctuary Park along the Banana River to the west and an industrial park and several neighborhoods to the east. 09/28/13
SR 520 begins in Cocoa Beach and crosses the Banana River west to Merritt Island. The state road extends from there over the Indian River to Downtown Cocoa, and overall 34.7 miles to SR 50 near Bithlo. 10/21/18

Minutemen Causeway extends west from the Cocoa Beach business district onto a peninsula housing a pair of schools and Cocoa Beach Country Club. A complete streets project in 2017 converted the block east from a wide four lane boulevard to a landscaped three-lane roadway with turn lanes. 10/20/18
Advancing south, SR A1A (Orlando Avenue) transitions into a residential area from the Cocoa Beach business district. 10/20/18
West Bay Drive forks southwest from Orlando Avenue into the Snug Harbor community along the Banana River. 10/20/18
The three mile long couplet along SR A1A concludes just beyond the Cocoa Beach city line and South 21st Street. A U-turn provides access to SR A1A north ahead of the southbound merge with Atlantic Avenue in South Cocoa Beach. 10/20/18
Heading south from SR 404 (Pineda Causeway), SR A1A passes through the unincorporated South Patrick Shores community. 09/28/13
The Indian River Lagoon National Scenic Byway overlays all of SR A1A in Brevard County. The 233 mile loop includes branches along SR 404 and SR 518 to U.S. 1 as well. 09/28/13
