SR 307 is a minor collector in the Savannah area running 8.47 miles north from U.S. 17/SR 26 (Ogeechee Road) to SR 25 (Coastal Highway) in Port Wentworth. Following Dean Forest Road, SR 307 follows the Garden City line north to Southbridge Golf Club community across from Garden City Hall. A diamond interchange with Interstate 16 an array of industrial parks lies north of there to U.S. 80.

Dean Forest Road arcs northeast alongside Savannah / Hilton Head International Airport (SAV), serving the Air Dominance Center and cargo facilities. Prior to 1994, the passenger terminal for SAV Airport was located off SR 307 as well. Advancing east across Norfolk Southern and CSX Railroad lines, SR 307 meets SR 21 (Augusta Road) at the Port Wentworth city line. Bourne Avenue leads the route east to SR 21 ALT (Jimmy DeLoach Connector) north and SR 25 across from the Georgia Ports Authority - Garden City Terminal.

I-16/SR 307 Proposed DDI - Garden City, GA

$38.76 million in construction authorized on August 24, 2020 reconfigures the exchange joining SR 307 (Dean Forest Road) with Interstate 16 into a diverging diamond interchange (DDI). The project completion date is July 26, 2023.

SR 25 (Coastal Highway) heads north to the Houlihan Bridge spanning the Savannah River into South Carolina. SR 25 south combines with I-516 (Lynes Parkway) south to U.S. 17 in Savannah.
